i have decided to cut out avocado for a few days since i was eating a lot...now i realize that i think i have a banana addiction as well...its all i wanna eat and they r kinda high in cal so it makes it hard to restrict my calories which is what i want to do right now. why do u think i am so addicted? has this happened to u? what should i do?
this is strange elle. it is almost impossible in my experience to become addicted to fresh whole fruit of any kind, except dates. perhaps you are not getting enough calories, and therefore your body is craving more bananas to meet ur caloric need?
because when you are cooked, with every bite you are shutting down your body's messages and instinct, now with raw, your body can talk and be heard again. You'll hear it a lot more.
Calorie restriction is not the way to go if you want to lose weight, in fact, it's a surefire way to gain weight since your body stores extra fat and you end up gorging on bad crap when you can't take it anymore. Instead, make lifestyle changes like moderating your nuts and seeds (not necessarily eliminating), eating ENOUGH (not to much, not too little, but juuust right) calories from sweet fruits to satiate and adequately fuel you, supplemented with plenty of leafy greens and non-sweet fruits to your liking, get enough rest/sleep, stay active and fit, etc.
As for the avocado addiction, in my opinion it's probably completely mental, not physical. The buttery fat heaviness of it is very reminiscent of the classic cooked food (mostly non-vegan) dishes that fill you up (eggs, cheese, meat, beans, pb&j, etc). I found that going a month without any overts was very liberating for my avo-appetite. Some time after that, I tried to eat one every day for a week (we had an abundance) as an experiment- I felt sluggish and slow, a memorable feeling that affects my appetite for them now. Now I rarely ever crave one, and if I do, I'll eat it alone at the end of the day after dinner, seems to digest best that way. But by all means, try eating one every 2-3 days so long as your daily or bidaily calories from fat don't exceed 10%, you'll find that the gap between craving one will expand over time (at least it did with me).
As for bananas... come on, your on a forum called 30 bananas a day, eat the hell up.
Ignorance is bliss apparently... I don't justify myself to anyone I just don't care what they think anymore. I have more important things to worry about.
just wanted to add that I have scored ripe bananas at a good price at airports before so it is worth looking around particularly at bigger airports (and the look on your fellow travellers' faces when you're chowing down on 10 nanners at 30k ft is pr…
Hello my fellow raw goodies! I want to share a little secret that involves skin :) I'm reaching out to all because I know we are all on a conscious and positive path of life. We all have come here to enrich and better our lives through eating health…
Ever since I first heard eggs described as chicken menstruations I've had a problem ingesting them.
I second this Sultana, for sure.

Europe is different.
People started to think about nature and saving nature early on.
We have alot of law regulations about animal treatment at the farms and they are well let us say getting "closer" to the natural one.
for example cows are free run…
no haven't heard that about the soap and cancer, seeing it's allopathic in nature (addressing a symptom not the cause) I can't imagine how that would work.
My teeth look fairly white to me, at the start they did have these vertical stains but now t…
