I'm a new member of 30BaD. I found this source through watching YouTube videos of Easy to Be Raw. I am currently a vegetarian but, I eat raw vegan as much as I can.
I have a boyfriend who is also a vegetarian but he likes his cheese and cooked root vegetables way to much to become raw. I find I have a hard time sticking to what I know is the best lifestyle for me because we do eat our meals together. I also find it extremely hard because we eat out, a lot! I know what I have to do in order to fix these problems but I have no self discipline. Family and friends look at you crazy for just being a vegetarian, I can't imagine how hard it's going to be as a raw vegan.
Is there anybody who lives in Northern Virginia or the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia? I have a hard time trying to find like minded people in my area. I would love to chat with anyone though :-)

You can see if our Peacekeeper Teri L is available.
One thing that I found that motivated me was just increasing my knowledge about why some foods are bad. I still eat with my family and friends, but i eat what is right for me because they are not going to take care of me when I am sick or pay my medical bills.
I have found restaurants to be kind of easy because almost everyone serves salad. If you are going out, go to places that have buffets and salad and fruit bars so everyone wins.
Anyways, to give you some FUD to stay away from the cooked foods, the roots, and the starches, read more here:D))))

Permalink Reply by Regina Falangi on August 11, 2012 at 9:13am I am in the exact same boat! I found it on youtube too, and I'm vegetarian with raw-vegan like tendencies :) Except.. I'm in Minnesota haha! All my friends and family just don't get it! But I totally know what you mean when you say, you know how you want to eat, but its hard because its so easy to make exceptions! I love this site though because it keeps me in the mindset!
