30 Bananas a Day!

I was reading today that blood type can actually change in rare circumstances:

"Almost always, an individual has the same blood group for life, but very rarely an individual's blood type changes through addition or suppression of an antigen in infection, malignancy, or autoimmune disease.[5][6][7][8] Another more common cause in blood type change is a bone marrow transplant. Bone-marrow transplants are performed for many leukemias and lymphomas, among other diseases. If a person receives bone marrow from someone who is a different ABO type (e.g., a type A patient receives a type O bone marrow), the patient's blood type will eventually convert to the donor's type."

I am wondering if it is at all possible to change your blood type through diet.  And maybe the "Blood-type theory" is actually not based on the reflection of what is good for an individual but rather reflects the internal environment of that person.

I have also read that chimps are more often blood type A and gorillas have more B.  Which makes me wonder if blood type A's tend to prefer more fruit, while B's like more greens?!

Please comment!!  I am very interested!!!

p.s. I was born an O but last time I had it checked I remember that I was something else, but the guy thought maybe he did the test wrong.  I might have been an AB if I remember correctly.

Oooh interesting point on chimps and gorillas. I honestly don't know my blood type lol. I should probably look into that, huh? Haha.

it would be interesting to know!!

Interesting question. I am an A and i'm not into greens at all.
I hope others will post too.

A positive.

And also not a fan of greens.

I just started juicing just to be able to get in enough greens.

B negative.

I'm also not super keen on greens.

Not on topic really, but where I live now (Oman) you must know your blood type when you get a driver's license. Not that an ambulance would ever bother to show up and take you to a hospital or anything, but if you were injured in an accident and managed to get medical care, they would know right away what your blood type is. Pretty clever, I thought. Not a bad idea to write it on the back of your license or somewhere obvious.

I didn't know it was possible but I should say I'm horrible at remembering my blood type...I always say I'll remember it then I forget it...but last time I was in the hospital they checked my blood type and said it was either AB or A+ and I was like...I thought I remembered that it was...the other one, but I shrugged it off thinking well I guess I forgot...but I really thought I'd remembered it that time.

I'm type O and loooove greens, yum yum!

O negative and I love it ALL :)
