30 Bananas a Day!

Alright, so my mom decided to bring me some random fruit after I told her about changing my diet, and one of the fruits she brought me was grapefruit. Now when I used to eat grapefruit, I used to literally smother it in sugar because I always found it way too sour... but obviously now that is not an option!

So, I was wondering, what could I mix the grapefruit with (without it being a combo - a -bombo) that would take away some of the sour flavor? I have four of them!

Maybe juice it with other citrus that's sweet? Double the grapefruit with sweet citrus like valencia organes, tangerines, or something of that nature! :) good luck

The best way to eat it is slowly, removing the white fibery stuff that encases each portion.  The gelatinous interior is delicious.  So you don't get bored eat it while watching the news, or a fireworks show.  But please don't censor it!  Learn to love it.

Thanks for the replies. :) I guess I'll pick up some oranges later... but for now I will try eating one by itself to see how I handle it. Maybe I'll be able to tolerate it better now.

Please let us know how it works out.  I HATED grapefruit until I went HCRV.  Now, I don't necessarily love them yet . . . but they're perfectly fine.  Even a little sweet if you let yourself really taste it and let go of the past.

Actually it turns out they weren't grapefruits. Sad, because I was kind of looking forward to seeing if they tasted any different to me after going HCRV. But I cut into them and they were actually just REALLY big oranges...

LOL.  The longer you are HCRV, the better they will taste to you anyway.

7 to 8 grapefruit is one of my favorite meal :O

for some people grapefruit is a bit sour / bitter. i'm lucky to be in florida where the grapefruits are generally in season a bit longer than the other citrus. plus, in some areas, like central florida... they have been growing grapefruit for a reallllly long time, and so i have been lucky enough to find growers that produce some reallllly sweet pink and ruby red grapefruits.
