Has anyone read the new privacy policy yet? Its a bit too much for me, granted I didn't read the old one... Google has creeped me out for awhile now, I won't even use their search engine, and now I've decided I'm going to switch emails. Anyone know of a good free email provider? I don't need a lot of space, just want my privacy to be respected, a good spam filter, nothing too special. Preferably not a large well-known company, like yahoo, which is crap. What do you guys think? Anyone else going to switch?

why do you care if google reads your emails?

Use ecosia.org, its a search engine that donates 80% of its revenue to projects protecting the rainforests!

I usually use goodsearch.com, you can pick whatever charity you'd like to donate to. :)
Permalink Reply by Amy on January 29, 2012 at 1:51am I've used Yahoo for 12 years...they've been great! Whatever you do, don't do hotmail unless you don't mind getting penis enlargement ads for the rest of your life. (this seriously plagues 99% of hotmail users)
Permalink Reply by Adam on January 29, 2012 at 11:42am I think I must be one of the only people who doesn't get a lot of spam on hotmail. I think their filters are really good. I almost never get spam to my actual inbox and get only one spam per day to my junk mail, on average. Usually it is to do with something random like fake facebook (I don't have a facebook account so I know it is fake), or holiday stuff, or buy some fake PhD in something or other.
Guess I must be one of the lucky 1% :o)
Take care
