30 Bananas a Day!

Going to Cape Cod Wellfleet - where to get fruit there??

Anyone know if there are any decent grocery stores or farmer's markets etc in this area of Cape Cod.  I am going there next month for a week.  I can bring some produce. but wondered if anyone had any info on the area food-wise and any tips??  Thanks so much for any help.

I live in Hyannis. Didn't see this post when it was new.

There is not much, But I have been kind of lazy about finding more farmers markets, mostly cause I'm broke and they usually charge a lot.

David. Thank you. What do you eat?being broke? I found online a place in Orleans that sells some fruit/vegetables. I've not called them yet. I can bring food with me. But I'll be in wellfleet 10 days with my family so I'll need to find a place to get some more. Which grocery stores out your way tend to have good produce? Thanks or any help.

A lot of bananas, and scamming the self checkout machines at grocery stores (run by people who profited off poisoning me my whole life) into thinking what I'm getting is something way cheaper than what I'm getting.

Guessing family is not vegan if they don't know?

Think there's better markets out further to the eastern towns than where I am, there's Ring Bros in Dennis and I think in a few other places, and Fancy's in Orleans, never been in those places, I'm bored, maybe I'll bike over to those towns. There's more farms out there too.

Hi David, No my whole immediate family is vegan.  I don't know any one in Cape Cod.  We just have an opportunity for 10 days to stay in a home in Wellfleet on a bluff. and I need it. I'm about burned out. (workaholic!).  So, I need to get myself together here and figure out where to get stuff to eat while there. I can take some stuff but I know not enough.  We're looking forward to just walking, running the beach, birding, reading on the beach and just "being".  And the family wants to take their bikes - now six bikes is a challenge.
Yeah, what I found is a Phoenix fruit market in Orleans.
Then there is a Shaws grocery, Super Stop and Shop, Tedeschi Food Shops, And Orleans Whole food store.  So hoping they have decent fruit and greens at a decent price. Only two of our family is all or nearly raw eating (811). The rest are vegans - and one thinks potato chips are vegan (well they aren't food - maybe vegan but not food) Sigh!!  Thanks for your input.
