30 Bananas a Day!

Anyone from NZ got any tips on buying fruit on a budget. If I did this fully organic I think I would starve. I just got a discount on a box of bananas but they are not organic. Especially in the Nelson region?
What if I don't eat organic?

Ohhh Thanks!! That is really cheap.

Medjool dates are delicious. The dates on the site labeled 'Dates Iranian pitted' might be medjool. I will ask them. Good idea about the organic. The other dried fruit they sell looks like it has been treated with sulfur dioxide. I don't think the dates will be tho, but I will ask just incase.

Hi Fruitpixie
I heard back from nuts on line and if I am not going to get organic I think I will just stick to the super market. I tried medjool dates today, they are sooooo good! I had a go at freeleas banana tiramisu. Yum! They blend really well so it might be worth me saving up for the organic 5kg lot.

But good news I have been approved for a wholesale vege buyers account at turners and growers. I just need to pay bond and then I can get bananas for half the price of super markets. Will not be able to pay bond till next week then I will be able to go direct to wholesaler. I will let you know how it goes!
Also I told a few friends what I am doing and when I got home today there was a huge box of apples on the door step along with a tray of kiwi reds!

Hi again, can anyone apply for a wholesale vege-buyer's account?

Hi there,

Where do you find organic bananas for 2 dollars a kg in NZ?

I get them for 2.80 a kg from all good organics when I buy a box delieved.
