hey everybody :)
i consulted with you guys a few times in the past and you really helped me out.
hope you'll be able to help this time as well.
i started 811 about 7 months ago.
i had a few bad days in those months but overall i'm doing great at keeping my diet.
in the last 2 month i eat mostly 90-5-5 and didn't touch anything that is not hcrv.
b-u-t, i started to gain weight!
i want to point out that although i have about 20 kilos to lose, it's not the main reason why i'm doing 80-10-10.
i believe it with all my heart, and recieved great benefits.
i don't weight myself anymore, but i can see from my clothes that i gained about 10 kilos. (not water, not muscle, fat.)
i eat more than 3000 k a day, and i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong or what i should do now.
i helped creating a big 811 community in my country, and i can't stop thinking of what a bad example i am.
it's also very difficult for me to run (my biggest love!) with all the excess weight.
please help!

3000 calories for someone 5'3" may be unnecessary.
Permalink Reply by Jon Fergus on May 25, 2012 at 3:59am We've got plenty of tiny women eating 3000+ and it seems to work fine for them. In fact, many of them didn't find success on this lifestyle until they started eating more than 3000.
On 811, there should never be fear of high caloric intake.
Eat more to live more. Fuel up to thrive!
You talking to me? I eat all of you under the table, but I'm an athlete.
Permalink Reply by DURIANRIDER on May 24, 2012 at 9:27pm If your too fat to run sounds like you been eating things other than fruits lol!
I mean Ive won 7 out of 7 of the last 5k races Ive done. How can you let yourself fall apart like that that your so fat you can even RUN!!?
If people eat fruit, they look like fruit eaters. Your either cheating on grease or your a newbie. Ah, I just read 7 months eating right but still cheating in there somewhere. How about you do it full on if you want the full on results. I mean Ive got friends that are eating lots of grease and blaming bananas. I think sometimes we need to be honest with ourselves. Reminds me of a poster we used to have called Heather M. Turns out she was binging on her chef husbands chicken burgers and steak dinners but claiming the fruit salad was making her fat! lulz.
Like I said 'fruit eaters look like fruit eaters'. You will slim out over time. People that are chubby on this lifestyle are CLEARLY sneaking. Doesnt make em bad people but what we eat in private shows in public.
Your a RUNNER AND A FRUIT EATER BUT STILL A FATTY?
Thats like saying 'Ive got the hot water on full blast but there is ice cubes coming out!! whats happening!' Its a case of your either lying or its going to take a bit longer for the gas heater to start firing.
This is how fit slim you WILL look over time on this lifestyle of fruit and running as a female. Run past dunk'n donuts and into the fruit stores. Load up on the bananas and dates. Get your 5k time down around 20mins.
Permalink Reply by Shy Precious on May 24, 2012 at 11:41pm hey :) thanks for the comment.
i'm not that fat.
i can still run, but as a runner you probably know that every kilo makes the difference . i'm after a knee injury and it's very hard.
i admitted i cheated before. i wasn't going to mcdonalds, i ate a few cooked vegan meals and nuts.
since i wrote you, 2 months ago, i didn't touch any of that and committed 100% to 811lfrv, that's why it was strange that i gained weight.
i have the patience, but i'm afraid i'm missing something (guys here talked about more water&greens.. i will try that)
as i said i want to be a good example. it's annoying that the manager of the 811 group here, is getting fat.
thanks for your words :)
Permalink Reply by Kirra Mangoloid Adams on May 25, 2012 at 8:54am Bike and swim. I had my second ACL surgery in February and it's KILLing me that my surgeon said no jumping, pivoting or running until 12 months post-op, 9 as a hopeful minimum. Soccer isn't going to happen for a seeming eternity. But just because I can't run doesn't mean I can't do ANYTHING. I went for walks the days after my surgery (once I stopped barfing from the blood thinning injections and anaesthesia), started yoga and the stationary bike a few weeks after, and was able to ride my bike 5 and a half weeks post-op - online said the soonest would be 3-4 months after.
Do what you can which is something, anything. You seem willing to do what it takes, but unfortunately also willing to let excuses and worries get in the way. Like DR said, do it full-on if you want the full-on results. We've all struggled with this, you just haven't stopped struggling. So let yourself stop! Get moving then come back and drink some water before you sit down to read and reply to posts on this site. I think this website is important to us all; it seems to propel us one way or another. Let it push you toward success, not fret and worry over when you don't succeed.
Permalink Reply by Shy Precious on May 25, 2012 at 10:48pm :) thanks! sorry to hear about your knee :(
i don't let it stop me. i still run, bike and lift weights (also do yoga sometimes) ..
but it's getting difficult.
stopping is not an option, i never felt better.

Permalink Reply by DURIANRIDER on May 24, 2012 at 9:48pm If your one of the rare people that can eat less than their body craves then go for it. Im personally not. I find it IMPOSSIBLE to deny my body food when it feels for it.
Im a promoter of EAT MORE + LIVE MORE vs eat less and live less and then binge out and start out all over again.
Learn how to stuff in carbs like you want to puke. Learn how to live with no regrets. Learn to combine patience with consistent. 99% of people on this lifestyle are going to quit right before the good results happen. Bit like the durian farmer I met that literally bulldozed his durian trees after 7 years cos they didnt fruit enough but durians in Australia need at least 8-9 years lol! EPIC FAIL!

Permalink Reply by DURIANRIDER on May 24, 2012 at 11:09pm Thinking one will get tight legs, buns and tummy like Freelee in 7 months is pretty cheeky too. ;) Its like the 15 year old kid after 7 months of training wondering why he doesnt look like the guy on the front of the natural bodybuliding magazine.
NO CHANCE lol!
