Permalink Reply by Fruit fly on April 28, 2012 at 3:46pm waw great, thx. there are two question that still struggle me....absorbtion:either could have been my issue(now i go watermelon fastmto balance the body and then maybe high in green juices as well(coz if i eat fat i still have digestion issue, unfortunatelly)...also i have read about oxylic acid in greens and othernblockers and i am confused what is then best to use...if soaked nuts or sprouted seeds or greens in orange juice...or just continue high fruit diet mono and let it balance out?
Permalink Reply by Fabii on April 28, 2012 at 4:50pm hey folks,
yesterday i got my blood test back and it showed that im borderline anemic.
i had this kind of results already last summer, hwoever back then the hgb was even a bit lower 13.2. i also did a serum mma test which revealed that my mma levels arent elevated. it said 29.5 µg/l and the range is (9-32). so vitamin b12 should not be the reason for the slight anemia.
i have been vegetarian the last 2 years and low fat vegan for the last two months with heaps of fruit but not entirely. i also take in quite a bit of greens but maybe now enough. i will try to take in more greens every day now. i take in approx. 3000 cals a day and do sports(skating, running, biking, track n field) every other day for about 1-3 hours.
of course the doctor said i should eat fish or meat but there should be another way to get the levels up into the normal range..
help of any kind would be much appreciated :)
have a great weekend

Permalink Reply by Carlos169 on April 28, 2012 at 5:28pm Did you have your iron studies done? When I was loosing iron my MCV and MCH suffered and were much smaller. Yours are good!
Maybe still get a B12 test done as well?
Permalink Reply by Carlos169 on April 28, 2012 at 5:23pm There are studies that indicate heart disease is linked to having too much iron stores as well as heme iron being linked with cancer.
They never count on the fact that the iron in the fruits has vitamin C to help absorb it. They just single out one nutrient and test its absorption alone.
