Hi everyone!
Could really use some advice for rebalancing on this diet when dealing with systemic candida and hyperglycemia ...
Are there certain fruits that are best to focus upon?
(I have been mono-eating banana smoothies for the past 5 days and my pancreas/adrenals are getting whooped!)
Any other guidance with healing these issues?
(I did a 10-day water fast 2 months ago and still these health challenges continue ... at this point I'm thinking I might have to fast again ... don't see many other options right now!)
Also, how can you tell when candida is dying off?
(I've noticed lots of little red spots/blotches on my cheeks and forehead, plus foamy smelly urine since going all out on the bananas ... is this a sign of detox or is the candida growing?)
With love and gratitude,
Dan

I'm still working on the article, but I'm currently investigating this whole "systemic candida" diagnosis as a hoax. Hyperglycemia, pancreatic and adrenal issues are for real, but lumping it under the umbrella of 'candida issues' may be inaccurate.
Anyway, whatever your symptoms are coming from, as long as you're following the diet to a T and keeping the fat low, the fruit will do you good. Have fun!

Thanks Josh!
Well, I've been following the diet closely ...
Only banana smoothies for 6 days now ... and skin is really dry, my cheeks go bright red and little red speckles appear after eating, my pancreas feels like it's going to explode, and my urine is still foamy and smelly ...
Any extra guidance people, please! :)
With love and gratitude,
Dan

Would love some guidance on managing and healing this please! (What info do you need?).
Thank you so much!
With love, Dan
Does this feel like heartburn in the breadbasket area?

But if you have it and doctors prescribe you nystatin, never take it, that´s dangerous! just follow this diet, low fat high carb.
Permalink Reply by Jamie T on March 17, 2012 at 5:04am I had candida or at least I thought I had candida & about a year ago I made some massive lifestyle changes. Overnight I cut out everything, alcohol, dairy, processed food, all simple & refined sugar including fruit. For about 6 months I basically lived on oat cakes, chicken, beef & some vegetables. I lost a lot of weight about 40lbs & some of my issues cleared up but not all of them. I still had sinus issues slightly better than before though, I still had bloating when I ate which affected my sinuses. I had a stool test done & was told I didn't have candida but I did have a leaky gut. They couldn't tell if I had it to begin with or whether I'd managed to get it under control with the crazy strict diet I put myself on.
The whole time I was on the diet I thought I'd crave the usual foods I'd given up pizza, lasagne, Chinese take away & junk food, but I didn't. The whole time I was on a super restricted diet the one thing I craved the whole time was fruit & I craved it bad! I had never been a huge fruit eater at any point in my life, about the only fruit I ever really ate consistently was banana & I'd only have 2 or 3 of those a week at most. So after about 6 months after I'd been tested & told I didn't have candida I went on a fruit binge & haven't looked back since. I had allergy testing done after my tests & was told I was allergic to dairy, beer, apples, turkey, tomato, food additive E111, fish & various other things. But it was basically all the stuff I had been eating constantly while I was heavily drinking. So I don't think I ever had candida, I think I just had a lot of problems with foods brought on in part by the damage I did to my stomach from years of abusive heavy drinking & eating a terrible diet.
But since going 811 about 2 & a half months ago I feel much better than I have in a long time & most of my issues have cleared up or gotten a lot better in that short space of time. My sinus issues are still there, but not nearly as bothersome & the bloating seems to have disappeared along with the IBS. The only main issue I've really had that's gotten a little worse since going 811 is head rushes when standing up from lying down. I've had these on & off since last summer but since going 811 they seem to have gotten more intense. The doctor says it's due to low blood pressure from losing weight which could be right because they started when I started to lose weight in the summer, but I think it might be to do with a food intolerance because they also first started when I was eating a lot of goat cheese & seemed to go away when I cut that out. And since going vegan they've come & gone but I think it might be a reaction to watermelon because I had one for the first time in weeks this morning after eating watermelon for the first time in weeks last night. So I'm going to keep an eye on if they happen again after eating watermelon in a few days.
It sounds like a b12 issue to me. Find a quality b12 sublingual for now as those are easy to get from a health food store. I place mine between my lip and gums like you would chew. You can get 5000mcg ones that in a few days should clear up any headrushes.
