fruit/banana eating and mosquito bites

Hi friends,

I was wondering if it is a myth that eating bananas (or other sweet fruits) make you more interesting to mosquitoes? I am eaten alive since I am LFRV whereas my children and partner are much less bitten than me (it was the opposite before). Would it make a difference to avoid bananas while camping?

Its funny eh, we can go to any camping spot anywhere in the world and hardly anyone will be eating even a banana let alone a banana meal!! :) and how come EVERYONE has on some sort of bug repellent clothing, spray etc?? :)

I get bitten but I dont flare up like I used too. Ive been in malaria infested parts of costa rica, thailand, malaysia, cambodia but never had a problem. Same with Ross River fever in Australia..bitten in those areas but no probs.

This diet and lifestyle allows for healthy immune system..

Interesting DR. I guess since I am only 2 months into the diet, I still flare up bad and my immune system is better but still not running perfectly. I guess that if the bugs bite me it means I have healthier and tastier blood than others, which is probably a good thing!

I went hiking today and people were spraying that stuff on. I was attacked since they were all covered in chemicals but 6 hours later and they are all down - you can barely notice them. They itched for a bit but that might have been the sweat, sun, and salt water going to town on top of the little pin holes they made.
When I was younger I would get mosquito bites all the time - really bad. Then one day we were camping and I realized I was getting bit but nothing ever flared up. I figured my body had gotten enough and made a little potion so it wouldn't effect me. Then I stopped being active and going outside and started to get them again. Now I'm hoping to become immune again so I let them suck away. The more the merrier!!
