30 Bananas a Day!

I have read from a number of sources that when an animal is slaughtered, adrenalin is released and the person who consumes the meat takes on the animal's fear and stress.  Has anyone ever experienced this?  If so, do you think it's actually a physical transference?  Or just guilty conscience?

My history teacher said this exact thing during class a few years ago. I stopped eating meat that day. :p I wrote about this on my profile actually! :)

I don't know the science behind it. Definitely an interesting topic!
I think it might be a spiritual transfer, which affects our physical and mental health as well. People will often address physical and mental/emotional things and remain wary of the spiritual, but I think the three together are important. I've just started delving into the spiritual though.

Part of it may also be physical, as I've heard that if an animal is killed while under fear, the adrenaline makes the animal tense and the 'meat' tougher. Just something I've heard, don't know it it's true.
And of course, we know the illnesses that come from eating animal products. Could it have to with the animal's mental state as well? Can the animal's fear become our fear?

Actually, it's emotional as well. (The three do work together! lol)  Guilty conscience definitely, or even guilty subconscience. I'm sure that deep down, in everyone, no one wants to kill another creature for their own benefit or pleasure. I hear people saying, "I eat meat, but I don't think about where it comes from because that bothers me." Definitely emotional, that we can all see I think.

But yeah. I think a lot of it is spiritual, which goes deeper than some of us may think. I'm interested in other answers though! :)
