Permalink Reply by Milos Stepita on April 27, 2012 at 10:36pm I experience stomach pain, when I eat too fast, especially juice and sometimes smoothies, but it has to be really lots of volume in just few seconds
Permalink Reply by Steffi Ann on April 27, 2012 at 10:51pm Have you been eating anything else besides fruits and greens in the last days? Maybe something's laying in your guts still waiting to be digested? I have pains when I eat pineapple - especially on an empty stomach. So I just stay away from it. But grapes and especially watermelon should be digested very fast.
Permalink Reply by Macuilxochitl on April 27, 2012 at 10:59pm Happened to me with plums and cherries. The pain was so ridiculous, I doubt I'll work up enough motivation to give them another try anytime soon.
Permalink Reply by Viktoriya on April 27, 2012 at 11:25pm Working on a watermelon for breakfast. About 10 minutes into my first watermelon half I experienced excruciating pain. So funny, I actually JUST got out of it but I was stuck in the fetal position next to my little pug dog groaning lol! I'll tell you what I experienced. When I started this lifestyle about a month ago I felt this almost daily for maybe a week or so. It started to happen less and less and then completely stopped my second week. Then I had some cooked food for a few days. Then I went back to 100% raw and experienced it again. Then back to cooked, now back to raw (my second day) and feel it again. I think this happens when we detox. I dont know how new you are to this lifestyle but from what I've noticed it happens every time I come back to raw from having eaten cooked. I would agree with Steffi Ann and say its probably because you still have some food in your gut that hasnt been digested. Did you come to this lifestyle from eating meat? Meat takes a long ass time to digest. Hope this helps

Permalink Reply by Helen on April 27, 2012 at 11:51pm I don't eat grapes because I usually feel bad after them. There's too much chemicals sprayed on them.(organic are not available here).
Did you drink too soon before your meal or too soon afterwards?
Did you eat anything cooked, fatty or even un-vegan that day ,which could still lay in your stomach?
Was your fruit properly ripe?
And didn't you eat it too fast?

Permalink Reply by Wendy Harvey on June 28, 2012 at 10:06am yeah this happened to me as well, i felt like i was dying every time i ate a watermelon/rockmelon or grapes and lots of apples. Its been a while since i have got it bad but i do not eat watermelon/grapes that much anymore because they are out of season.
The only helpful input i can suggest is that it goes away with time??? i knew when i was struggling with it that i was scared i was doing big damage to my intestines >>> it felt like my stomach lining was burning off and it was getting worse. NOw that i can eat lots of apples and not roll around on the floor, all i can say is stick through it??
i have to admit though i ate a bit of crappy watermelon the other day and i felt a mild pain down there so who knows lol

Permalink Reply by Ruby on August 2, 2012 at 6:59am Wow, I guess this happens to a lot of people. Both me and my partner experience excruciating pain after eating watermelon. I got advice from another person here to eat watermelon only in the morning and to wait a long time after to ensure it's not mixing with anything. Also eating it slowly and stop immediately if you start to feel pain. I LOVE watermelon so I'm going to keep experimenting.
Permalink Reply by Jolita Brilliant on August 2, 2012 at 8:27am today i experimented with different water melon and my stomack felt also painful. i am cutting down on them, it might be the sign its not best for me. the thing is that they are higher in fracture than glucose is the cause.
