30 Bananas a Day!

have we evolved to become fruit eaters?

or did we lose our way somewhere along the course of history?

if we are designed to eat only fruit why did humanity add animals to the dinner plate?

was it related to the ice age and having no access to sufficient fruit?

did a band of people leave the tropics out of adventurous curiousity, eat meat out of necessity, become aggressive and return to the tropics to enslave the peaceful fruit eaters thereby forever changing the human diet?

there is no question about the snowballing of hard scientific evidence proving we are in fact frugivores.  It cannot be long before the power of mass communication changes the way the entire world eats.

what is the endgame? will we all move back to the tropics and live off fruit?

imagine the entire human population dropping everything they are doing and travelling to the nearest tropical climate all on the same day.

my head is going to explode if i think about it anymore...

someone else pick up the conversation :)

p.s. i have a plane ticket to nicaragua for april 30th. see you all in paradise.

the real crux of what i'm trying to get at is based mostly on intuition hearsay and psychedelic dream visions of which i have had my lifetime fill of and i am now looking to see if there is any science to back up what i think inside my head.

i am really excited by the vision of the singularity culture and lately this guy's stuff-nassim haramein.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ab3H4SlqG2Y&context=G2fb02a5RVAA...

what dissappoints me is that none of them have stumbled on fruit eating in their quest for longevity and understanding. i cant help but think that a fruit based diet is the missing piece of their pursuits and i am searching here for any meaning and rationality to my minority opinions. unfortunately looking for it on this website is kind of like preaching to the choir.

thanks for the great post.

This is an awesome topic!  Yeah I was thinking that we could just convert the entire earth into a huge forest using trees, mushrooms and other means to make it where the plants would eventually call the rain and we would have an endless abundance of natural wild fruits, and plants...

i like this vision.

i have said before that i may be bats*** crazy but i am convinced that if we return to fruit eating on a global level all bad behaviour will stop. following this the alien federation would deem us worthy of intergalactic union and turn off their cloaking devices.

terrence mckenna wrote about the coming singularity and what he called time-wave zero. this event would alter the course of the space time continuum making it possible for time travel. at this point our future selves would visit earth and present every human with a personal time travelling device which would allow us to travel to any point after the singularity. we would not be able to travel to the past but each person would be able to choose a point in the future to visit.

Terrence mckenna is amazing...  that's so interesting, wow.  Sometimes I have these psychic experiences where I can feel the presence of aliens in another dimension and I wonder if they're domesticating us the way that we domesticate animals, because of karma right?  So that would make sense that if we starting eating fruit as a humanity, that our karma would shift and maybe aliens would choose their "fruit" and leave us alone or even show themselves.

mckenna was an awesome writer and his lectures were fascinating.

he did die of  massive brain tumour which seems to be a recurrent theme in radical thinkers.

i am loving this guy lately. nassim haramein. his lectures and writings are really on the fringe and i find them very stimulating.

he believes that the dark matter that encompasses over 95% of the universe contains black holes. so that inside every atom of your body are miniature black holes which act as portals connecting us with every square inch of the known universe.

That is such an interesting concept?  Black holes connecting the universe to itself...   I'll check out that guy for sure if he has ideas like that!

I believe there was a massive flood....nuff said I think...Have fun Paradise buddy!

How interesting! Tell me more about it!

What...about the flood Sir?

Translocation of species = force of a change of diet. We were translocated from the garden of eden thus forced to eat vegetables when fruit wasn't in season. When the flood came animals had to be eaten initially because of the time it would take for seeds to start growing things. Of course the more educated knew to go back to just vegan like Daniel for example, and God instructed it for special people, like Samson. Ultimately we're all special to him and he would want us all to eat a healthy animal-free diet.

I get so wound up by this guy in work who says "we evolved to eat meat". I ask why? how? no facts! Just ill informed reckoning. He can't justify his belief at all. The irony is he is actually a vegetarian... >.< (but still eats dairy, which is why he looks way older than he is... or lies about his age lol)

We're very lucky in this day and age fruit can be brought to far away places by the world's transport systems, otherwise we would be restricted to fruit in season, and vegetables for the rest of the year.

For the millions of years people out there, and 12000 bc ice ages, good luck finding history past like 4-5000 years ago. Europe has always been consistent, but the middle east and such suggested much further back, until archaeologists discovered that the kings they dated the history by had actually ruled alongside eachother. They had like a father and he would have all of his sons reigning as Kings as well and things like that :P

I'm not quite where i want to be foodwise, but I can testify I had one day where I just ate bananas, and omg I could have ran a marathon and im so unfit! I really have to try to make eating bananas and other fruit all day a lifestyle thing, I miss that energy and motivation. I wish pomegranates could be cheaper here too, damn I love those! :P So yeah, this is some minor anecdotal evidence added - but many many others on this site have FAR better experiences of going fruity more long term than one day :P

I thought of this the other day... other animals, when weaned off their mothers milk, can eat their natural diet immediately, right?

So why would humans be an exception? When weaned off our mother's milk... what do we eat? We eat fruit (or these days, prepackaged smoosh that resembles the taste of fruit). If you put a slab of flesh and a punnet of berries infront of a baby.... they will naturally choose the berries as food. They can not physically eat meat, nor would they want to eat it. Their instincts direct them towards the fruit.

I have watched this over and over with young children (not even babies) at family gatherings between fruit and meat. They always choose the fruit salad. I am always delighted of course lol

Yes! It makes me so happy when I see this.

At the grocery store a few weeks ago there was a little boy running around the produce section shouting to his mom "PINEAPPLE! PINEAPPLE! PINEAPPLE!" over and over again. Of course his mom eventually got a pineapple. Yesterday there was a little girl shouting "WATERMELON! WATERMELON! WATERMELON!" and her dad got her a watermelon of course.

When I was a little boy if I shouted pineapple my mom would say "Oh those are too hard to cut up."
