Im sure I could gain 30lbs if I just did mono watermelon for an entire day. Its just hard to get sweet melons in Australia though!

alot of the problem i find is the definition of the word diet.
Diet (nutrition), the sum of the food consumed by an organism or group
Dieting, the deliberate selection of food to control body weight or nutrient intake
when describing what i eat i often use the word diet to mean the food i consume. i have no desire to lose weight, yet when you say the word diet the first thing people hear is 'weight loss attempt'.
Love it =)
I never use scales. I go by the way my clothes fit. So unnecessary to obsess over what the scale says. And also if you're gaining muscle, muscle is heavier than fat.... I think a lot people on here need to stop obsessing over it, and live. Be happy and get healthy.
Permalink Reply by Eli on April 16, 2012 at 2:43pm I use scales after a workout to see how much water I've lost to how much to hydrate after. Still useful, but for a different purpose.
Permalink Reply by PJ on April 16, 2012 at 12:31am Thanks again DR. Sometimes it's hard to stay focused on what works the best and then consistently apply it; you cut right through the BS. Seriously thanks, I'll keep eating my watermelon!
Permalink Reply by Haakon on April 16, 2012 at 12:39am Wow, you drink a liter of water in 4 minutes. That's fast.
Btw, 1400 g bananas = 1246 calories according to cronometer.
Permalink Reply by DURIANRIDER on April 16, 2012 at 12:09pm I had some sugar cane juice in there as well + these bananas are hyper sugar and low water weight judging they their texture. Possibly more than 1400cals but I like to underestimate my cals so I always end up eating more calories vs not enough and floundering.
I can drink a litre in 30 seconds. Thats not healthy though!

Btw how much calorie is 1 glass of sugar cane juice ?
about 150 ?
Permalink Reply by DURIANRIDER on April 18, 2012 at 5:13pm Depends how big the glass is and if the sugar was stored or soaked in water or if it rained right before harvest etc.
I don't normally count cals of anything that is not a date or a banana but for this vid I did.
Permalink Reply by lelouch on April 19, 2012 at 4:11pm well wikipedia says 28.35 grams of fresh juice has 26.56 cals!! So if we consider few factors like u have mentioned abut rain and soaking. A 1 glass [240ml] juice will atleast have 140 cals if not 230cals!!
I am in the initial stage of this diet so i am counting my calories so as to make sure i am not under eating cals ...
Permalink Reply by DURIANRIDER on April 20, 2012 at 4:28pm I don't include any fruits outside of bananas and dates as contributing towards my caloric source. Other fruits to me are condiments that are just hard to find of good quality here in Australia. When Im in Thailand its bananas and mangoes with condiments like durian, pine apple, mangosteen etc. Really bananas are my main focus. The banana is the ultimate human food IMHO as it feeds so many lean cultures. All the Indian and African and Asian cultures that go bananas for bananas have very lean mean and beautiful women traditionally.
Ive done the experiment many times with giving kids bananas in SE Asia and they just eat them on the spot. If you gave an aussie kid a ripe bunch of bananas he is most likely going to throw it back at you or just eat one and put the rest on the ground.
If it were not for bananas and dates, Id be eating starches in a flash. Starches work for me but bananas and dates work that bit much better.
