30 Bananas a Day!

So, how many of you guys here use 'em, driede fruits?

Since Graham and F. Patenaude don't recommend using 'em, is it really that bad to use 'em?

Since in nature fruits dry naturally when exposed to sun long enough...

I try to avoid them since they make me gas-ish, but dates; even "fresh" dates that are sold here (medjool dates) are dried, aren't they? I mean, how many of here eats really fresh dates? Fresh figs are really expensive here, "fresh" dates are reasonable priced and I love them...but eating dried fruits, what's your take on it?

I have to have some "vices" or otherwise I think I am able to do this lfrw.

These dates are the one thing that I want to have almost daily, they are so good.

One of the reasons they are considered not optimal is because they lack the high water content most fruits have. So, soak 'em until they're nice and juicy!

Another reason is that they aren't "fresh," and indeed, fresh, juicy fruit always feels more vibrant than dates (even if they're soaked), but as far as food goes, soaked dates are definitely good eats!

Why is it that most of here prefer dates, why not apricotes, raisins, plums or figs?

I mean, other dried fruits are high in calories, what sets apart dates from other dried or almost dried fruits?

Thanks for the answer Jacob!

I know dried fruits aren't that good, especially for me. :/

Problem is I luv 'em!

So I better try to stuff myself with fresh fruits.

I notice that when I am hungry/starving I want to eat (fresh) dates...and you know how it goes:

I end up eating A LOT of 'em  and it should be better to eat something more water-containing...

Sometimes frozen foods are better actually than soemthing bought from a shop, since some foods are picked ripe and then frozen immediately, unlike unorganic foods, which are handled with toxins and other ingredients to make the shelf-live longer...

But anyway, good points Jacob.

Cheers!

But medjool's aren't still truly fresh. I heard, at least here in Finland, they are half-dried. But they are still huge compared to normal dried dates, that taste bland compared to medjools.

Anyway, I don't wanna be hardcore, so I eat medjools but jsut wanna take easy on dried ones 'cause they seem to hard on my digestion. :/
