30 Bananas a Day!

dont want to drink tab water - what filter is good to install?!?

Hi there I know it is recommended to drink sufficient / a lot / of water on the 80/10/10 diet to have optimum digestion. But I guess water from plastic bottles is not optimal.

I saw Harley in one of his videos saying that better drink some tab water than none. Fair enough but what do you think is the best thing how to deal with our tab water at home:

1) use a reverse osmosis filter?

2) get a water ionizer?

3) activated-carbon filter?

4) energize (whatever it means)?

5) distill?

6) just drink the tab water anyway?

to #1 I guess that would probably be the cheapest option for me as I know it may be possible to use a fairly good aquarium RO filter that we could use for drinking water

to #2 this water is what I think tasted really really good! And I also believe somehow it may be the healthiest, but by far the most expansive option. (Well OK I know also some high-priced RO filters).

to #5, I guess that would just be highly energy-consuming and I dont really like the idea having permanently some power consuming device runnung further adding to our electricity bill

to #6 I dont like tab water and I think its not healthy.

Who has experience with RO, ionizer, or the other devices?

THX!!!!!

Distillers are the best of all, RO clogs up after a while and you get leaking problems.  Distillers are the best investment wise and health wise.  A simple $20 brita filter is much better than nothing at all if you are in a pinch and better than bottled water too.  There are also lots of places to fill up your own bottle at an RO machine, RO does get you some good water although it only gets out 96% of the man made added flouride.  Dr. D has said any cheap distiller will do fine.  The only thing that would matter to me is to find out where the metals used in the distiller are made, I would try to find made in the USA metal because it would be less likely to contain toxic heavy metals or invest in an all glass one, like this:

My country does not add fluoride to it's drinking water, so I use a Brita Filter, and feel really good about it :)
