I'm doing Banana Island today! So I know it's short notice but I'm going full raw vegan (90/5/5) for 1 month! After that I will decide whether or not I feel I should add rice or potatoes. for the first 5 days (starting today) I'm doing Banana Island :). Feel free to join!

I'll do one day with you. I can only do banana island for one day. I usually do banana only days once a week. My body craves greens too much for me to do multiple days of bananas only.
I have 40 perfectly ripe organic large bananas lined up. It's going to be a great day. LOL.

I'm craving greens like crazy too! I think I will aim for 2-3 days instead because it hasn't even been one day and im dyeing for some salad. lol good luck!

Permalink Reply by Hailee Young on June 9, 2012 at 3:16am hmmm you may just have some trouble with bananas and there's nothing wrong with that! :) You can try maybe doing a banana date island? or a banana salad island. so bananas for breakfast and lunch and a big salad for dinner? But do what you feel is best for your body!
Permalink Reply by Hailee Young on June 9, 2012 at 3:15am Hey! I'm nervous too. So far I have had 2 meals (20 bananas intotal) and I'm already craving a green salad or veggies. I think instead of doing 5 days I might just do 2-3. But my diet before this was vegan but it was a sad version of it. I have anorexia and bulimia so restricting a lot followed by bingeing and purging has been my past. When ever I would try to stop this cycle I would usually eat a semi healthy diet. Maybe like 1800 calories of fruit veggies some french fries rice etc. It was pretty diverse. I was ALWAYS hungry though but I wouldn't allow myself to eat any more because of the fear of weight gain. Now I have had enough of being hungry, tired, and ill!
I think it's great that you are trying to do this but don't calorie restrict or you won't be able to do it. Trust me a couple of months ago I tried this but didn't let myself have anything over 2000 calories because even 2000 seemed like a lot and I thought I'd gain weight (my biggest fear). To make the story short I failed. I gave up.
Now I'm here to eat the minimum 3000 calories, heal my body, and eventually lose some weight.
I'm currently about 135lbs 5'5. My metabolism is destroyed which is why even when i would eat less than 500 calories I wouldn't lose weight. I expect to gain weight at first but I know eventually it will come off. Good luck! keep me posted with how you do!
