30 Bananas a Day!

Yesterday I ate cooked eveerything was completely vegan, this morning I'm waking up tired ofcourse, but also my eyes are puffy to the point that they are almost swollen shut!!!!

This has happened before but never with the completely vegan cooked foods that I ate yesterday.  It happens when I eat large quantities of nuts or nutbutters as well.  The doctors don't know the cause and always put me on steroids to get rid of the swelling.  '

Does anyone know the cause and why I would have a reaction to all cooked food now?

Foods: tortilla chips, salsa, chipotle bean burrito(vegan)

The "puffy" makes me wonder if the problem may be unorganized* salt ?

*definition: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/unorganized
1. Lacking order, unity, or a system; disorganized.
2. Having no organic qualities; inorganic.
A good indicator of eating to much unorganized salt is to take notice of your thirst after you eat a food that you suspect may have unorganized salt in it. If the food drives you to drink fluids you should take note of that. The more unorganized salt you eat the more thirst you will have. People who have been stranded on an island in the ocean with no fresh water to drink have died of thirst while being surrounded by salt water.
it happened when I went to banana island,
it never used to happen when I ate salt why now?
more acute elimination of salt. once you go salt-free for a few months, eating it again will make you look like a freakin chipmunk. After constant salt intake, it gradually smooths out, which helps reduce chipmunk-ness, but it takes away all my muscle definition and makes my face fat. Blech. F*** salt.
o and after a week off I am back on the farm living in my apt. a tack room that was completely gutted and turned into a one room apt w/ a little heat/ac unit in the corner bathroom in the other corner.....
all of my health probs didn't start til I moved in here but my boss insists it's mold free since it was gutted to renovate and before that not too old of a barn.
Could the apt be any part of the problem?
A Chipotle meal contains the 'recommended' intake of sodium for a SADer for TWO days! You were retaining water, sweetheart. Ive been there, used to have kidney problems and serious edema was an everyday thing for me. I totally know what you're saying about barely being able to open your eyes :( Stay awayy from salt! The key is to stay far far away from salt and make sure you are putting back a lottt of water (staying SUPER hydrated) because it will help dilute or flush out the salt and get a lot of rest. Your kidneys need it. Just eat plenty of fruits and greens so you won't go for the cooked. Whenever you think of cooked or gourmet food just put a piece of fruit in your mouth :)

And don't try and let a doctor trick you into taking drugs for it. That will only tax your kidneys even more. Remember, don't try to treat the symptoms but rather the root of the 'problem'. Re-read 80/10/10 and get back on track :D
Follow this chika's advice and you will have no more problems! A perfect post ~ :D
so what does this mean? that I'm forever raw now until the day i die??? I mean that was the plan but now ... I just don't understand why after 22yrs of being perfectly healthy I have all of these problems even tho my bloodwork comes back normal.

I'm so completely upset right now with my swollen face and my boss hates me that I'm taking a sick day after going on vacation. GOD I hate me life!!!
The body is able to compensate (only to some degree) for the salt if you consume it regularly at high levels. If you continue to eat cook vegan you'll notice the swelling go away eventually. Be aware that salt is still doing damage and it's not good for you, but the body will adjust and reduce the symptoms drastically.

You could also just go full on with 811 (or at least low/no sodium) and you'll see the symptoms go away, but if you switch back and forth you'll have flare ups.
Funny quote, LOL!!
That's the messed up thing about restaraunts, no ingredients list, let alone the amounts of stuff. It's almost better to just go with packaged food, at least you can see what's actually in it. Restaraunts are sketchy.
Salt does it to me.... I just lived it last week.... :(

My entire face and body seems to swell a bit... most notable under the eyes, and my nose....
