30 Bananas a Day!

Do you think it's a good idea to have a final goodbye warm food meal?

I'm starting raw on Monday,  I know people always say JUST START RIGHT NOW but I love the idea of a fresh new beginning.  I eat mostly raw right now but I am going to tweak my food combinations and eliminate my hot breakfast grains.  I have the opportunity on Monday to eat a vegan curry and I am not sure if I should do it or not.  I usually don't eat things of this nature because I understand the implications it puts on my body but it is my favourite food.

What do you think 30bad, one final meal or keep it steady till the transition on Monday?

Cheers!

I'm all for going cold turkey. That's the way I went, and I definitely think it helps.

I am doing it for 30 days but the goal is to keep just trucking right along. Thanks for replying!

The "last supper" meal can back fire so badly. You mess up then think well just one more last supper, then you do well for a while but mess up so you wait to have another last supper and it can go down hill fast. That is my opinion. But goodness knows I understand that because I have done it so many times.

I've decided to go ahead and forgo the meal. I already feel so good, I have such positive feelings about this that I may even not have my hot cereal tomorrow. I am so excited! I will heed the advice of the experienced raw community. Thanks for taking the time to respond! x

The last cooked, probably well salted/sodiumed meal. Is gonna make it harder to go raw, immediately after. Pray hard and do not have it. It's easier to move into raw from the way you've been going already. Don't forfeit your traction, girlie. You've gained true leverage. Plunge ahead now.

But if you must, I suppose it's okay to gain this experience for yourself. You'll find out what we mean. In time you'll easily answer this question for yourself. But it may take some time before you actually learn the lesson.  Yep, it may just have to go down this way. :)

Puppy Power! And may the force be with you. :)

Sage advice, Jedi Jordan (and Sydney and Jennifer, I might add)

Hmm, puppies and the Force.  Bet Lucas wishes he's thought of that :)

Giggles

I'm not going to do it! Thanks for the sound advice.

Kiwi power to you! x

Your "need" for warm meals will quickly disappear, even in the winter. Eating lots (and LOTS!) of carbs really does keep you warm and toasty :).
And I agree with everyone else on the "last meal". Good luck!

Doesn't matter. Do whatever you want but just go for it when you align with the transition.

Having a "last hurrah" is basically telling your subconscious that warm/cooked food is superior to raw food and that you are depriving yourself of the good stuff.  We both know objectively that the reverse is true.  Raw food is superior and by eating cooked food you are depriving your body of "the best".

Don't put food on a pedestal whether it's raw food or cooked food.
