30 Bananas a Day!

do you eat strawberry greens or de-stem them? (and a banana peeling question)

I started eating strawberries whole a few years ago... and that is one that always gets funny looks.  Before I would slice off the top of the strawberry and then cut it in half.  Now, I'll take the thick stem off if it's there, but leave the greens.... mmmm complete fruit/greens/seeds edible goodness!

How do you eat your strawberries?

Also, I was wondering how you all peel bananas?

I mean, I have a system, lol.  I'll take a bunch of bananas, and hold the main stem and let the bananas sorta 'unzip' themselves... so I'm left with the stem, and 6-8 uzipped bananas ready to go.  Usually I'll do this with two bunches, toss the stems, then start to uncover the awaited bananas...

So, how do you peel your bananas?

hehehehe......only here could there be questions such as thes, I love it!

Sometimes I eat the strawberries whole with the greens, sometimes I dont. Mostly I take the green top of, but sometimes I just don't think about it and eat'em whole.

banana peeling? ... I don't know.. I just peel them, ''click'' the top of and peel one by one...

you ask funny questions =)
#1) I do the same, and #2) I do the same. :)

I find that letting them "unzip" themselves is a great way to ensure ripeness. Bananas that aren't ripe oftentimes won't unzip themselves, so if I give it a good shake from the stem, and all it does is wobble the banana back and forth, I typically get sad, put it back and wait on it.

Sometimes if I'm feeling rebellious I'll peel from the bottom, though. No reason for this besides spicing things up a bit. Not that 80-10-10'ers need spice, but you get the idea.
