So ive been having some health issues, i believe they have stemed from my b12 deficency which ive started to ment through regular injections.
But i went to a dietian to stop my family breathing down my back about how crazy i am for not eating meat etc.......
So i took in a food diary of what i ate in a week and she couldnt get her head around the fact that i ate 25 bananas in a day.. not only that she compared the amount of bananas to drinking 2L of coke she said no wonder im tired cause that amount of sugar is to much for the pancreac to handle in one hit!.
I know this cant be right, but i would really love to hear you guys tell me why she's wrong bit of theory so i can hit her with it on my next appointment. she wants me to start oats and almond milk....the old pyramid theory a little bit out of every group dairy , grains....
I need help cause i know that this is not the way but i look and feel s*** at the moment , i believe i wasnt consuming enough greens which i am now rectifying with copious amount of spinach ,womboc, cabbage, carrots, peas etc.
Also whats your take on vitamin k2 it seems we need it but can only get it from animals sources, or the japanese dish natto which is vegan its a fermented soybean concotion that is ment to be the best source of vitamin k2, havent heard this one talked about here.
thanks guys for any replys

2, I think you need to make up your mind and stick to it no matter what. People will tell you what to do based on their believes. Question is do you want to get what they get? Cos if you will do what they do you surely will.
3, You would have to be very lucky to find dietian who would be in agreement to what we do. But anyways - It is very easy to make somebody feel like shi**. I recomend you to find someone of higher personal standards. That is if you think it will help you which I doubt.
4, study - question everything - use common sence
Make up your mind and stick to this program cos you will find no better!
Thank you luk this is good solid advice and i truely appreciate it. Thank you
i will look into dr grahams videos.
I like number 4. Study - question everything -use common sence. I will do and have been but there is a lot of info to take in.

Ask her if you eat diuretic foods like watermelon w/seeds and mangos that might activate your pancreas enough to deal with the sugars. Ask if natural sugars like fructose really put as much burden on pancreas as refined sugars like sucrose. (might want to double check the specifics)
Two litres of coca cola would do me a LOT worse than 60 bananas any day. Tap water kills me, so does a sip of anything carbonated. Now to mention the carbonation or Nitrogen that is in coca cola which speeds aging from having to process that chit..
Your best weapon is just finding articles that back up your claims otherwise it's just no your wrong. while still she or you can find the opposing articles/studies claiming the opposite. So once again in the end it is going to come down to do what you want to do and believe in and yeah prolly want to add more greens. Celery and wild weeds are my best friends next to the human friends i have.
the not 100% but i recall b12 as well as k2 being obtained from healthy flora in the intestines.
Thank you Herro world, lol love the name...
You have given me a good standing point on this i will be taking evidence in with me next time i was so intimidated by what she was saying i was scared to say what i really thought of her ideas, but im determined to state my case as it were:) thank you for your support.

Oh and thanks for info on b12 and k2 im very interested in these.
Permalink Reply by The Dutchman on June 21, 2012 at 6:40pm Well I can tell you one thing from my own experience, I am missing my colon. I had to eat the whole day long to get enough energy. After eating something I was feeling pain in my pancreas. The hospital send me home again because they couldn’t find anything wrong in the blood. They checked twice.
Now I am eating fruit the pain is gone. So the pancreas doesn’t have to work that hard anymore.
Oh my god, that sounds so scary.....
Im so so glad to hear you are in no pain with fruit ...it really is our friend:)
And thank you for telling me this, i need a good reminder that this is the right path to follow thats why 30 bananas a day is so important to keep like minded people together helping and supporting each other cause its a cruel and judging world outside its safety.
Thank you Dutchman :) and all the best with your health.

the fermented natto thing, i was told it smells SO foul, but it's vegan. It's an extreme diet, nutritionists/dieticians will be alarmed, but it's also dependant on adjustment.
Permalink Reply by Vice Abattoir on June 22, 2012 at 3:30pm honestly, just run tests and check out everything, dunno if there is a pancreas test but you could run that to make sure that everything is fine. There have been times where i thought i shot my pancreas from the carbs and sugar cause i had (false) diabetis symptoms, like shaking, abnormaly thirsty, irritation etc, and went to a pharmacy to check my blood sugar, my blood sugar was actually too low cause i hadn't eaten in a while, i was too busy running around i skipped a few meals (i graze usually).
Whatever you're told, just have it verified, that's the best way to know, and it beats guessing and "what other people experienced". We're all unique and one man's poison is another man's medicine.
Permalink Reply by Reed on June 22, 2012 at 5:42pm Shaking, sweating, heart rate increase, irritated, anxiety, dizzy and confused. That's from low blood sugar levels and your body dumping in adrenalin and cortisol in an attempt to stabilize your blood sugar levels. Dieters can run into this.
Since you left out the dizzy and confused that means your body handled it correctly and low glycogen is a reasonable answer. Obviously next time you need to carb up. If it happens more often (especially an hour to 3 hours after a large meal) and you get dizzy and confused and can't think like in a fog then you might have a "fasting" insulin and HbA1c tests done. This will show if your body is insulin resistant, beta cells are not 100% and the massive insulin could also be causing reactive hypoglycemia. Very high fasting insulin levels (part of metabolic syndrome) is one step from type II diabetes.
