The docs say less fruit. Eat meat. Make sure you're eating protein every couple of hours.
I've had symptoms for a long time, but the past year I've been bed ridden and haven't been able to do much. I can't stand for a while. If I lay down for too long my blood pressure goes to low and if I stand up it goes too high. I haven't been able to walk for over a year.
Anyways, I'm thinking less fruits and more protein. I thought of quinoa and salads w/avocado and nuts/seeds and maybe some low G.I. fruits.
I'm wondering if anyone out there has the same condition as I do or knows about it and what they do.

Your blood tests would help. Were you previously hooked on caffeine? drugs? alcohol? What's your T3, T4 levels and were they saliva and/or blood.
Does the doc have you on a T4 only like Levoxyl or a T3 -T4 like Armour Thyroid and/or Hydrocort?
Have your blood glucose and Insulin levels been checked? What's your normal body temperature?
Can you give me your supine blood pressure and heart rate, and then you're standing blood pressure and heart rate.
Have you done a pupil test?
In a darkened room with a mirror. From the side (not the front), shine a bright light like a flashlight towards your pupils and hold it for about a minute. Does the pupil constriction hold for the entire minute or does it loose it's ability to constrict or twitch before the minute is up?
How long have you been consistent with the 30bad diet?
Also do you snore or have you been diagnosed with sleep apnea?
Permalink Reply by Datiger on July 2, 2012 at 2:47pm Yes. I used to be tired a lot and then became a coffee junky for 4 years and then couldn't do it since my stomach would kill me. I continued to have stomach issues to where they were hard to bare, so I converted to being an alcoholic. Every time I didn't have a drink all these symptoms would flare up, so I would drink away until I laid in bed and couldn't walk to the liquor store. I've been sober for 7 months and I still can't walk and still go through episodes of where I can't move and my heart feels weird and breathing feels off too.
There testing the T3 and T4 since a test the TSH is 7.96.
My body temperature is usually a little lower than normal, like 97.
The docs say my blood glucose is fine, 80 when not eating and 140-160 after eating.
The main thing that I'm concerned about is the B.P./rate. Supine is 100/50 w/40 beats. Standing 200/130 w/130 beats.
I can't stand for too long or lay down for too long.
I do not snore, and they thought I might have sleep apnea, but never been diagnosed.
Sounds like you know a lot about this. I really appreciate your time.
I've never done the eye thing, it gets small when I shine the light on it and then slowly gets bigger then to smaller throughout the time.
I started 811 when I was quitting alcohol since I thought it would be a good transformation since it had a good amount of sugar and carbs to ween me off the booze and then also thought some sort of cleansing would be good. I feel that with my condition I might need to eat more protein and less carbs especially since I haven't been able to do any exercise.
I have now been Vegan for almost a year and mainly 811, but have been incorporating cooked pasta, quinoa, potatoes, rice, beans.
Permalink Reply by Reed on July 2, 2012 at 5:27pm With the way you're feeling I would stay with the 30bad diet but lay off the pasta. Definitely up your greens. Eat as healthy as you can. Juice your vegetables if they're too difficult to digest. I would stick with the "low glycemic" fruits. You already know the alcohol will kill you and the caffeine was just burning your candle at both ends and probably hammering your adrenals that will take time to recover.
If you have insurance or the money I would have a cardiologist do an Echocardiogram on your heart a full blood workup including liver function tests. I would check for possible hypothyroid, portal hypertension, fasting insulin levels and blood glucose, adrenal, insufficiency and a Bruce protocol treadmill stress test with a 12 lead ECG to test your heart.
If your doctor clears your heart he might try and correct your thyroid and cortisol levels with meds. Laying in bed weakens your heart. Put an astronaut in space "long enough" and he will need to be carried off on a stretcher after landing as his heart weakens that much. The Russian Cosmonauts are famous for staying in space too long and needing stretchers on return but they all recovered!
With a doctors clearance you'll need to strengthen your heart up. You'll need to get up and walk around until you're tired, then rest. When you feel better do it again even if it's 5-10 times per day. Soon the up time will increase and your heart will strengthen. You'll need to slowly increase your "up time" is greater then your total bed time. This might include walking up hills and bike riding when your ready.
