30 Bananas a Day!

Just want to know how many of you here are attached to someone who is also leading the same lifestyle as you and how that affects your relationship? It seems pretty damn hard to find someone who is on the same journey as me or at least wants to jump on the wagon for a ride...I guess i'm just wondering if any of you here are going through the same frustrations and how are you overcoming them...

loool <3 it!

Attraction has little to do with what someone puts in there mouth and swallows, i would totally appreciate someone that took care of their body and health from a variety of ways including diet, positive habits and having fun.  As long as someone can accept me for who i am.

I agree, I also think we attack certain people into our lives that are a reflection of us, hence the more positive out look you have on life and your values will attract same kind of people. Sometimes someone comes along that needs to cross paths with you in order to teach you something or vise versa.

I agree with VeggieLover about different people coming to our lives at different times.  Sometimes, we teach them something, and sometimes we learn from them.  I am sure most of you on this forum have heard of the Reason, season or lifetime concept.  If you have not, here it is:

I totally agree with you. We have something to learn with everyone in our lives but especially when its your significant other.  But what do you do when you attract a poke from mister wolfe? lol, or maybe its just him being a perverted raw guru going out and poking good looking vegan women.

I'm dating a vegetarian. :o

It does get lonely/frustrating sometimes, when you want to share something that makes you feel so amazing and they're not really interested. But then again, when we started dating he wasn't vegetarian. ;)

I'm just really excited about making fruity friends at the WFF! :)

@Steve, I followed your link and I like one of the quotes on there: "It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant." :)

My husband is not vegan. Even though he agrees that this kind of life style is beneficial and he eats lots of fruits and veggies with me, he likes to go out and have a lunch or a dinner in a restaurant and it usually not vegan at all.  We both are in a good shape and have never been overweight. None of us has any health issues. I say it because it is more difficult to convince someone to go cold turkey when there is nothing to "fix". I see many people come to this lifestyle because of major health problems. I decided to eat this way because I know that it is the way to go in a long term, I'm not a "believer in a quick fix" person.

It is sometimes frustrating when I see him eating the restaurant food. In fact, we just got back from vocation and barely talking to each other because of not very pleasant conversation about food the night before. Anyway, I think the lifestyle is our own decision and we cannot and should not force anyone to do the same thing as we do. It is a personal choice.

And.. as Fruitonice said: "Attraction has little to do with what someone puts in there mouth and swallows".

When I decided to be vegan more that 7 years ago, my (ex)boyfriend wasn't vegan and we split up because he didn't accept me. But it was mostly my fault. I was really nervous, I though I was the only one to be able to see "the truth" , I was always ready to discuss and to fight. I wan't a nice person to be with.
I also lost some of my friends and argued with some relatives.

In every bad moment there's a light, because a veg friend of mine introduced me a guy who was dealt my same problems....and now we are married :)

Now I'm changing again, because I'd like to be 801010, and he is helping me with storage of fruits and he is looking at the best places where to buy fruits&veggies.

SO...never lose hope! :)

Also, I don't know if I can talk about other websites, but you can find people with your same interest in meetup.com.
I registered there and there are some veg and raw groups here in Ireland (but I didn't have time to go to any of their meetups). America is bigger, so I suppose you'll find more Americans there.

This sounds like me with my ex girlfriend, when i wanted to be vegetarian and eat mainly organic foods, stop smoking and drinking on the weekends to live healthier.  I thought i was the only one who saw the truth and was very unpleasant to be around most of the time.  I would get "preachy" at times and tell people about there faults that were causing bad health.  I lost many friends also.

I am much easier to be around now and people just simply accept me for eating the way i do and i accept them in the same way.

that´s why I want to move to Thailand, hoping to find more fruit heads

Always nice to hear that I am not the only one who has that plan !

Milos and Maria, can you speak Thai? If not, it wouldn't be a bad idea to try to learn it, even when one gets on well there with English.
