30 Bananas a Day!

How did you guys go about cutting out salt? was it gradual or did you just go quit and never look back?  I've decided to come back to realm of health and take charge of the way i feel. Yay! 2nd day back on 811 :)

you'll find an overnight "cold mango" approach to be best.  Salt is such a powerful flavor for most every human, that we can detect even a teensy bit of it.

Over time, as your taste buds reacclimate to natural flavors, you'll begin to detect salty tastes in whole plant foods of which you were previously unaware.  It's exciting :)

I, for one, just suddenly cut it off.  For me it wasn't too hard.  I feel much better with out it, and my cheeks aren't incredibly puffy anymore.  If you want to gradually take it down, I think that'd be ok, too.   

I quit cold turkey!  :)  Sorry for the meat reference!  :)  LOL!  I don't have a hard time dropping addictions.  But I do find it is easier to cheat every now and then than it is to try the gradual thing.  So, I quit.  If I cheat its once or twice instead of trying to gauge myself down everyday.

I ate seaweed basically until it no longer appealed to me and started adding in more celery to compensate.

I cut out seaweed and salt over night. Both Freelee and I did. I did over 2 years with ZERO. We eat it on occasion now as we are so fit, we just pump out any excess the next day.

I think I'm going to have to cut back gradually, not that I use a lot to begin with but I tried absolutely none in my salad tonight and it was just unappealing. I would rather use a little salt every now and then until I can completely cut it out and be really into eating LFRV than just quit using salt at once and not want to eat anything. Day 2 complete and feeling phenomenal!


I cut it overnight and haven't used for 3 years at a time then I experimented with it but still decided to keep it out. I ate almost no salt over this period of 7 years since going raw in 2005 overall. It took effort only in the first weeks really and then I just lost almost all interest until I experimented with it again but those experiments were brief and I was used to not eating salt.
I know I can eat salt in reasonably small amount without problem and I don't restrict it but I have no interest. Even when I occasionally eat steamed veggies I don't add salt or anything.
