Hello 30BAD badasses,
I have been 80-10-10 for about a month and a half. I was having totally smooth sailing, feeling great. This past week I have had cravings jump on me from all directions.
is this a detox thing? not enough carbs?
appreciate any help, peace, love, and fruit!

I am practically in the exact same situation. I am a newbie to being full-time 811rv, and was able to go about 21 days straight with few cravings. Now they have hit me (salt, dairy, meat), and worse, I have given in! I will be all ears for the responses you get.
Permalink Reply by Myca on March 6, 2012 at 2:44pm Don´t beat yourself up. Those things are addicting and the cravings show up out of no where. It takes a while for some of us to completely change over. I don´t get the salt cravings very often anymore but I did off and on for a year. Now I add spinach every now and then. The cravings eventually get further and further between. A lot of things are stored in fat cells. If you have lost weight, maybe something was released that caused a trigger.

Sometimes we react because of emotion, we basically have two types of energy, let me use the car analogy, one type (food) is our gas, the other type (sleep recharged nerve energy) is like our battery, we need both to run without one they both are useless. Basically the battery energy gets used one of two ways, 1.through emotion, 2.through digestion. sometimes we think we want to eat cooked food because its easier to ignore our emotions when digesting big heavy sub-optimal cooked meal. really we need to open up to our new found sensitivity and learn emotional posie while facing ourselves and learning to feel again.
Personally now that im HCRV im way more sensitive than i ever use to be, and have become comfortable facing myself and my emotions, now when i see or feel things that evoke emotion ive learned to actually feel, i cry more now than ever before in my life. i've also had to feel everything i hid inside for so long.
Hope this might lend some perspective on where cravings can come out of nowhere.
if this isnt it, make sure your getting 10g of carbs per kilo of bodyweight and maintaining 3500+ calories per day.
