Since I'm on this lifestyle (2 months) I've often had painful stomach cramps (because of bad food combinations I think) and I'm craving rice with soy sauce all the time!!
Even when I have plenty of fruits around me: i can't stop thinking about it before every meal!
This is so annoying...
Another weird thing is that I sometimes have a kind of adrenaline peak which makes me feel like I'm about to pass out (I think another girl wrote this somewhere in the forum but I can't find the post). It only lasts a few seconds: I have the feeling that my heart beats very fast.
Could I be getting too much vitamin C?
I know I'm doing something wrong but I don't know what? I mostly eat dates and bananas, often veggies and some other fruits too. Maybe I eat too much? I always have more than 3000kals per day although I'm a little overweight... I never ate this much before.
I've gained a little bit of weight around my belly like 2 or 3 kilos. (probably water weigh? I drink a lot)
I should cut the salt and overt fats but it's just so difficult... I'm never satisfied with a mono fruit meal. How do you all do? I don't feel very well atm: often bloated and gasey
Sorry to share all my problems with you guys but it's the only place where I can find help! Thank you in advance and sorry for my bad english!
PS: I know it's a newbie question and has probably been asked 10 times i'm sorry but it's good to get personnalized answers...
PS2: I've done the 30 days hcrv-Challenge with freelee :) 2 days left :)
If you can afford to do so, give yourself a 30 day challenge of going 100% low fat raw fruits and leafy lettuce greens.
Bloating can come from dehydration, long term undereating, combos abombos, as well as eating the wrong kind of vegetables such as cruciferous and root veggies.
For optimum digestion, avoid cruciferous veggies like broccoli, kale, spinach, and cauliflower, and root vegetables like carrots and tubers. Some of our members have had problems such as sour stomach, stomach pains, diarrhea, constipation, gas, bloating, acne and skin eruptions, blood in stools, and or slowed digestion which makes it difficult to eat enough calories during the day.
This is a list of naughty and nice fruits and lettuce greens:
Make sure you drink 2-4 quarts of water a day, and drink about 10-20 minutes before a meal to make sure you are not dehydrated when eating. It is very difficult to eat on a dehydrated system.
Greens are very important in maintaining oral health, digestive health, heat and vascular health, and other proper body functions. Make sure you eat 1/2 to 2 pounds (or 1kg) of greens a day. Here are some reasons why eating greens are important on this diet:
Do not worry about vitamin C levels. When taken from natural sources, it is rare to impossible to over consume the C. In nature, some primates may forage exclusively on citrus fruits at certain times of year, and may eat as high as 30k mg a day.
Rapid heart beat may come from being dehydrated, from the sodium in the soy sauce, and or a reaction to the starches in the rice.

If eating 100%, and enough calories, and enough greens, your cravings should subside within 3 days.
@PK - this is amazing. I am printing these out. Thank you so much for compiling and taking the time to send.
+1 thank you very much!
PK + 1, Also make sure you do cut out all salt and fat for the time being. Yes you will crave them when you go cold turkey, but eat a little soy sauce and you will bloat with the sudden salt intake. When I've gone from strict low fat raw vegan to cheat a little with like some all veggie sushi and soy sauce, etc, The next day I would have bloating from the salt and quite a bit of water weight added 7-8 lbs.
I'm sure you don't want to gain weight, but if you are still craving, you need to be strict on cutting out that stuff and eat more! I know it's tough to get in more calories when you are not used to eating such a high volume of food to do it! You can try adding dates to your smoothies to quickly get the calories up. 7hotdates.com is a great place to get them, if they are out right now, you can give "the date people" in California a call or even order from shields dates who always seems to have some dates in stock, if you don't have a good local source.
Also, if you're not logging your food, set up a free account over at cronometer.com and enter in all the food you eat, even any "cheats", actually especially any cheats, it will really help you see if you are indeed close to 80/10/10 and if you are close to your calorie goals. It will also help because you may be able to spot the precise calories goal where you don't crave as much, it could be at 3500 calories or at 4000 calories. And that may shift with your activity level.
Even if you do gain some weight at first, eat and hydrate to a level where you feel good all the time, don't worry, if weight loss is something you need, it will come off, when your body is ready for it to do so.
Hang in there, you can do it! :)
Thank you so much for all your answers and your support!
I just want to underline that I haven't consumed rice for a very long time: it's just my biggest temptation!
You're right PK, I think that I don't eat enough greens. I consume too much fat (olives, almonds, coconut, olive oil) and sometimes fat+fruits in the same meal, which is really bad.
Thank you Chris P: thinking that soy sauce can cause water retention will help me!
And Maggie I think you're right: I went cold turkey from a high-fat-"carnivore"-diet into 811 so the first months are hard... but I'm sure I can make it :)
My tiredness and little problems are just detox + not enough sleep I think...
