I'm trying to give this lifestyle a good go but really have no idea where to start when planning food.
I'm concious that I'm eating too many different foods - for example breakfast today was 1 mango, 2 bananas, a pear and an apple. I'm not too keen eating too many pears/apples as they are very acidic and I'm unsure in the UK how to eat them properly etc.
Could someone tell me what a good day's menu is? Also how much greens to eat and some smoohie's and stuff? Thank you!!

yesterday:
breakfast: 2 oranges, 1/4 watermelon, a little later 20 dates
snack: 6 celery stalks, 4 carrots
lunch: 1/2 watermelon
snack: pint of grape juice, head of romaine
supper: 8 banana/1mango/1/2 cup blueberry/1/2 liter water/2 cups greens smoothie
I keep dates and bananas as my staples, and buy whatever fruit is on sale that week. Also buy in bulk (dates and wild blueberries). At least one smoothie per day, 2 is better for me, means I get more greens in.

Breakfast - 15 dates and 3 bananas blended into a smoothie
Lunch - Watermelon (I know it's best to have high water rich fruits in the morning, but i have just gone grocery shopping and they were on sale!)
Dinner - 1.5lbs of greens with tomatoes, cucumber, green onions and a mango dill dressing :)
Permalink Reply by Esra on May 22, 2012 at 4:44am wow, 1.5lbs greens?! Way to go! I don't think I've ever eaten more than 1lb/day. Usually way less!

On the weekends I mix it up a bit but the banana is my staple food. I eat 140-180 a week. They are the easiest to eat and are very portable.
Permalink Reply by Sweetfruitlover on May 22, 2012 at 5:03am Here's what I've eaten recently:
Saturday:
Water all morning, no breakfast (felt dehydrated, drank until I felt better, over 3 liters)
Lunch = 10 bananas, head of romaine
Dinner = 5 mangoes, a pound or two of cherries, head of red leaf lettuce, 2 medjool dates
Sunday:
Breakfast = two baskets of mulberries, several nectarines, some blueberries and cherries. Tatsoi leaves
Lunch = 4 apples, 2 bananas
Dinner = 6 nectarines, about a pound of cherries, head of romaine
Today (planned since I've only had breakfast so far):
Breakfast = tangerines (maybe 3 pounds?)
Lunch = apples and bananas (I'll eat until I'm satisfied, I have plenty here at work)
Dinner = nectarines, cherries and/or blueberries, tatsoi and leaf lettuce
Permalink Reply by AJ on May 22, 2012 at 6:08am Today I had about 4lbs papaya for breakfast (wholesale is the best!) and maybe an hour later I had about 1/2lb of grapes. For lunch I am planning about 2-3lbs mango, and for dinner I'm having my favorite- DLTs! It's dates, tomatoes, and basil wrapped in romaine. I'll use a full head of romaine, 1/2-1 punnet of grape tomatoes, and usually about 8 dates, with an English cucumber on the side.
Permalink Reply by Lozzle22 on May 22, 2012 at 7:40am Wow these all sound so good! I bought 2 bags of dates tonight, not sure if they are the right ones though... they are in like an airtight bag and they say "Soft dates stoned and ready to eat". They aren't dried but it does say they are "sun ripened" is that ok?
