Which fruits store well at cooler temperatures?

Today I was able to get a bunch of avocados for free at the distributor I buy at, since they were going to throw them away. I tried one just now and it was pretty nice. The thing is, they're all pretty soft and I don't think they'll stay well much longer. Put them in the refrigerator? Will they like that?

Recall which fruit did well being stored in the fridge (or even the freezer) when they were at various stages of ripeness!

Yes, avocados will keep well in the refrigerator at the ripe stage. You can also make a big batch of guacamole, and freeze that. I would get some small deli containers and portion freeze it, so you only get out of the freezer what you will eat over a day or two. Or you could whip up a dressing that you would use up in a day or two, just put it in a jar.

I think you can freeze avocado fine (like if you make guacamole or something)
