Is there any difference in the liquid from brown and green coconuts?
A big reason why I'm asking this, is because I've been drinking a lot of coconut water from brown organic coconuts over the last two weeks, and have been experiencing some weird symptoms such as stomach growling and mild watery diareea etc. I've cut out the coconuts for a week, and the symptoms seems to have gone away.
I can't recall having experienced this with young coconuts, although I rarely get to taste them though...
I've always been a bit perplexed about the pre-opened hole in brown coconuts, wondering if it could allow for some bacteria to seep in? I do always make sure to pre-taste the liquid, and verify if it is sweet or sour.
Anyways, if someone can share som opinions or experiences on brown coconut water, I'd much appreciate it :-)
