Nigella Lawson vs Gillian: Circling the net again.

Something I came across from the anti-vegan wave. I know Nigella Lawson is very, very overweight and has to wear tons of make up to disguise... this pictures looks photoshopped and botoxed. But Gillian? What diet is she promoting, is it high fat (nuts and seeds), or calorie-restriction? I know she's not 811 but I'm still curious. Anyone?

Yeah I only know one guy who likes girls who wear a lot of makeup and it is because he is pretty flashy as well. It is sad because he is a very naturally attractive guy and is ruining it with all the flashiness. The girls he dates tend to be very naturally unattractive but hide it well enough with layers and layers of makeup. I have never seen him with a naturally beautiful girl, period, makeup or not.

I wear makeup and i completely agree that it looks silly. It would be nice to live in a world where makeup did not exist. It's so damaging to your skin but we have to wear it in order to look "normal" as a woman.

Wearing clothes is silly too, and fixing your hair. In fact, anything anyone does to feel more attractive is totally absurd (according to your logic), yet almost EVERYONE does it. If a girl wants to paint her face, if a guy wants to shave his beard in a certain way and goop wax on his hair, if anyone wants to wear a particular style of clothing, etc. etc. it's their choice and for anyone to say it's silly, is calling themselves silly as well.

To me. Bit of mascara is fine. Something to cover up a few skin blemishes fine. Bit of lipstick sure. I think my biggest problem is with women covering their whole face with foundation. I like to see skin!!! :)

I don't like the look of the "one tone face" I see in a lot of young women, where they cover the whole face with cream. I think the wonder of makeup is to bring out your natural beauty, highlight and create contrast. I'm in no position to tell anyone what or how to do anything that's their free choice of course.

In my 'love fruit' photos I filled in my eyebrows, put eye liner, mascara and lipstick. I wanted to accent a natural, healthy skin tone and quite frankly, I don't even need powder on my face anymore. I used to put corn starch just to get rid of oiliness, but that is no more :)
