Permalink Reply by Iron Clad Ben on April 19, 2012 at 8:53am I didn't have chronic pain per se, but the amount of exercise I could do was limited by muscle soreness. I wanted to exercise every day (my favorites are hackysack, running, cycling and strength training) but I really could only do 3-4 days a week because I would have to take days off from being too sore to do physical activity. After running some days, walking was hard the next day. Now on LFRV I can basically workout as much as I want each day and not experience DOMS the next day.
I should add that I did not come to this lifestyle for that specific problem. I really thought I was just getting "old" (late 20s). It was an awesome unexpected side-effect

Permalink Reply by Nate on April 19, 2012 at 9:36am Is this physical pain or emotional pain? For emotional pain try Emotional Freedom Technique.
If it's physical pain try Earthing. It's basically the practice of touching the skin to the earth and receiving electrons. It's very therapeutic for pain relief especially if you can make contact with the area that is in pain. You need to make constant contact for 10 minutes or so for it to start working since the current moves very slow. If your interested in the science I recommend the book Earthing: The Most Important Health Discovery Ever?.
You can just touch your bare feet to the soil or sand or put your hands on the side of a tree since the tree is grounded. I've personally been sleeping on an earthing sheet for about a year an a half every night and I highly recommend it. It's simply a sheet with tiny silver threads that conducts electrons from earth's surface. It's attached to a wire that runs under my door and plugs into a metal rod that is pushed into the soil outside. No moving parts or attachment to electricity. The first few nights I tried it I thought it was one of the greatest discoveries I'd ever made. The feeling is subtle but so amazing.
If you buy Earthing products it's best to 'plug' them into the earth directly. I would not recommend using the grounding port of an electrical outlet.

Permalink Reply by Jonathan Isbit on April 28, 2012 at 9:44am If you live in an apartment building you have to use the ground hole of the outlet. It's perfectly safe with a properly designed earthing device. You can make your own device using these instructions.
It works wonders for physical (and emotional) pain. Have a look at earthinginstitute.net for all the research on the benefits of earthing.
