I just cycled 250km in two days, 140/110 respectively. The last 50 KM my butt was hurting LOL! one small area on each cheek where it was rubbing, just had some bumps from irritation. I am 90% healed the next day, but that last 50 km was painful.
I know there are products to apply before heading out on the bike, but I dont really like applying too many products. What do you do?
I wear cycling shorts
I cycle nearly every day, but never have cycled this far so more conditioning would help

I rode 200km today. No worries BUT (pun intended) if I started a bike tour I would be a sore lad for the first week for sure.
Part of cycling is building up the contact points and maintaining that contact point 'tuffness'.
Congrats on the riding btw. :)

When you get up to 3000 mile mountain bike rides with 5 days of rain (with no supply crew and carrying your own gear) you might change your mind. :)
Seriously, most of the pro cyclists and even the triathletes use one of these: Preparation H, A&D, chamois cream or vaseline.
