What companies often dehydrate or store in heat-rooms at extremely high temperatures????
This would be good to know...

Hello, Simon
In the desert it is not uncommon for temperatures to reach up to 120 F in
the shade - while growing, the dates are not exactly below the canopy in the
shade - they are exposed to the direct sunlight for various hours per day.
In our drying process we either put them in rooms were the temperature is up
to 135 (we want the dates to reach 125) or lay them out in the sun where the
organic dates have commonly been probed at 129 F.
I don't know if someone would consider those to be extreme temperatures or
not, but they are what occurs naturally.

I do not have any of the other emails from american companies to hand right now, as I printed most of them off and documented them, but there is a little example. I will try and find more for you though.

Thank you Simon.
What I see here is a natural process of dates. Not a dehydration process.
Right?
I was glad to see no chemicals are involved in this natural process of dates..
Permalink Reply by Simon on January 9, 2011 at 12:43pm They sell many different kinds of Medjool dates including organic & non-organic, however, none of them, including those which are organic, are raw.
The seeds will not sprout in my sprouter & if the seeds will no sprout, the product is clearly of inferior quality & can be presumed dead.
That also included a drying process, a more natural process for those out in the sun but for the dates in the heat room, I would say probably not.

Thanks...
No indication on there website that they are organic and raw. I would not buy from them if this is the case.

Permalink Reply by Simon on January 9, 2011 at 8:34pm I have been to every wholesaler in my area, most greengrocers and they seem positive that they purchase organic Dates for me, they cannot even purchase decent bands ether.
One company said they would buy them in for me, VAT free, without them taking a profit if I could buy all 200 boxes which is the minimum order, I like dates but not that much, I'd have to start trying to sell them online which would be impossible.
Where there's no demand, there is no product, but any help would be greatly appreciated?
Love, Peace & Happiness,
Simon.

Permalink Reply by DURIANRIDER on January 9, 2011 at 6:00pm I will be eating over 8000 cals of dates by the end of this week. Per day that is.
Just ordered some boxes.
You can eat em too fast, eat em when you are dehydrated, eat em to close to going to bed/intense exercise BUT you SIMPLY CANT EAT TOO MANY SWEET FRUITS!
I mean I hear it but Ive never actually seen it. ;)
