30 Bananas a Day!

I'm trying to keep track of how many calories are going in, but the amounts listed on my calorie-tracking app are pretty silly — 1 cup of cubed watermelon, or 1 watermelon wedge... I have no idea how to estimate the calories for eating half a watermelon for example. Is it per pound or how do you guys do it?

Thanks!

Yeah, weigh it before you eat, then weigh the rind when you're done and subtract to get the edible portion.

Thanks!

You can also figure 50-55 cals per cup of cubed, balled, or simply cut or spooned-into-pieces of watermelon.

An entire large watermelon is 1400 calories, for a 15 incher by 7 inch diameter.

I figure about 500 calories per half, even when 90% of the time, if I check it by weighing and measuring, I have underestimated by at least 20%.

They all say that watermelon is "low calorie" but I find it to be "efficient high calorie" since I find it incredibly easy to consume. Much easier to consume than bananas. At least for me. It is just a pleasure to eat nice sweet juicy watermelon! Or two. Or three. (Big ones!!)
