Just wondering what kind of feedback I would get concerning this product. (Bragg's Amino Acids) I have used it to add flavor to things like brown rice, or added to fresh squeezed citrus for salad dressing.....any comments?

Permalink Reply by IHaveALight - Chris on March 22, 2012 at 4:10am Yes has MSG which is an excitotoxin. I have personally felt the consequences of this as I used to have some nerve damage in my lower right eyelid that would cause minor twitches and it would physically feel inflamed at times. This completely went away after being raw for a bit. At one point I decided to try some Braggs Aminos and when I did almost immediately my eye reacted in the same way. And it took a couple weeks to go away.
wow...that's an interesting testimony. Thx
Yes....i used it quite a bit before i discovered LFRV and still have some in my fridge... which was why i posed the question. i honestly haven't noticed any bad symptoms but don't like that it may contain msg.
Permalink Reply by IHaveALight - Chris on March 22, 2012 at 2:15pm There's no question about it, Bragg's does contain MSG. They don't deny it and if you look carefully on their website they admit it. http://bragg.com/healthinfo/excitotoxins.html

Thank you!
Permalink Reply by Sideah Shannon on March 22, 2012 at 7:47am I'd say ditch the braggs. It moves you away from being healthy as it pretty much tastes exactly like cooked food. It's better to change your taste buds to more healthy fruits and veggies as Braggs isn't really natural. Also salt bloat is no fun!
Permalink Reply by Morgan on March 22, 2012 at 3:42pm I still have some in my fridge and used to love it. One of the probs I have w/ it is that it's soy. Soy is really bad for us and this is one particular article I've found I thought was pretty good in covering the reasons why: http://www.healingdaily.com/detoxification-diet/soy.htm
Permalink Reply by vegan witch Ⓥ on March 22, 2012 at 4:39pm hey kimberly - i can understand why you asked this but in truth - amino acids are something your healthy body should make for itself new, fresh and charged - not some dead second hand skanky bottled crap - do your 801010 and your body will make first class amino acids for you and youll feel the difference between the real good stuff and the commerical man made goop.
