30 Bananas a Day!

Do bananas sweat? This is the second box of bananas that are wet at the bottom and almost soggy. What is the deal? This never happens when I don't buy the box. They are in a dark cupboard.

Yeah, me too - I take them out of the box for 12-24 hours, and put them back for faster ripening afterwards. Works like a charm :)
i often remove the top layer and put them in another box (with plastic covering) to avoid rotting, but i like to leave them in the plastic because i suspect they ripen better / more juicily that way.

Every time I buy a box of bananas they're wet and there's some water at the bottom.

They keep them in a separate and warmer room than the other fruits and vegetables, so I thought they sprayed them with water to simulate the tropical climate:-)

Maybe something I should ask next time...

I just had this happen yesterday. 20 of them were so wet, I had to toss them out. The bananas were soggy like wet sponges. Take them out of the box...
