its winter here, and i am NOT a fan of being cold therefore outside activity is a scratch off my list. to compensate i bike for 30min or about 10km indoors but i can't help but be so bored. i usually watch tv when im biking but i am trying to cut out tv from my life and i dont know what else to do while im biking and not give up in the middle from being so bored.

Get some music in your ears whilst cycling to pump you up...
Don't know what type of indoor bike you have but if you can change the gears/or digitally set it, set up different programs for yourself: 2mins warm up, mod difficulty; 1 min slow cadence, uber hard; 1 min recovery; 1 min standing... like a personalised spin class. The time flies then... You might find inspiring 'Body for Life' 20 minute killers... for anyone ;)
Yoga! (pilates/core strength work... whatever you wish to call 'it')
or set yourself up fitness stations - push ups, squats, core exercises etc (online will have a bunch of exercises to search or someone here could help you out) - do a number of repetitions
or skipping (if you have room, it will rev you up quick smart).
Attach a basket of tennis balls to your bike and teach yourself to juggle while biking. Time will fly, but you might need a lot of tennis balls if you are a beginner. You can probably find a juggling tutorial on youtube.
pick up a new sport. swimming? exposure to chlorine is better than laziness in my book. or maybe lean to not mind the cold. you have snow there so you could learn to ski or cross country ski or snowshoe or ice skate or ice climb or first of all sell the damn tv. tvs do nobody any good no matter what anyone says.
some more... sledding or snowboarding or how about good old running warm up inside and then go out and run in snowshoes made for running or shoes with crampons or shoes made by inov8 which have metal spikes on them or go exploring or this one is lame but go geocatching or yoga or crossfit or pilates.
i hate exercising in the cold too but i never look at it as exercising because as soon as i do i give up. you should enjoy and have fun being physically active. find something you care about and do it.
hey man i am in the bay not socal and am from an environment just as fridgid as yours and yes if you dress properly you can manage. at least i can. im usually ok to about 40 below and then i wont go out unless i want to suffer.
get some gear for the cold from the north face or marmot or mountain hardwear or outdoor research or integral designs (canada based) or feathered friends or nunatak usa or western mountaineering or wildthings gear and layer properly. or move somewhere more sustainable for yourself.

You know a lot about outdoor gear lol. I'm here until the spring, but after that I'm choosing the latter option (moving to Vancouver island). Other than taking the dog for a walk in the woods trouncing around in the snow, I get all the exercise I need indoors, which I'm thankful for. I used to ski but I can't say I miss it at all.
Hey Liz :) kelp is greenish brown, and kelp noodles are white and come in a package so I'm not too sure why some people think they're classified as raw. I think it depends where you are on your journey, but thats just my opinion. I'm sure its helpfu…
were they organic? just curious.
also, you don't eat of the skin do you? i've read that mango peel contains the same chemical as in poison ivy or poison oak: urushiol. could be related?

Congradulations sounds like a good plan. Only thing is what kind of doctor are you planning to be? I don't know about Turkey but medical school here really screens for anyone who thinks outside the box and gets rid of them or does not let them in. t…

Haha, that would be gross!
I always thought blended salads are gross when I read about them, because that is what I imagined, a normal salad, blended...
For some combinations with fruit that may work, when it ends up being similar to a green smooth…
