30 Bananas a Day!

Over that last 5 months or so i've been slowly making my way into the raw vegan diet. I lost alittle over 30 lbs :) but i've noticed that im always cold. This has helped me work out more just to feel hot.

Is this something that happens to everyone? Any suggestions besides the obvious lol

This is something that's actually interesting to me :). I experienced the same thing when I first went vegan, and in retrospect was eating WAY too little for a period of about a month (maybe 1500 cals/day, which is way too little for me). Then happened when I went HCRV at the beginning and for the first few months (I was eating 2000-2500 cals), I was freezing all the time, and it didn't help that it was so dang cold outside in the Canadian winter.

I don't know why this happens, but what I do know is that it gets better, and you'll definitely warm up, just make sure you're getting enough calories!
Chris Kendall talks about this in one of his videos (sorry, not sure which one), and he suggests just wearing more clothes until your body gets adjusted :).

Now I'm MUCH warmer than I used to be. I used to always have cold hands and feet (bad circulation?), and in fact it's noticeable to my friends too...they always say that I feel so warm lol.

I deff. think my big problem is that i am not getting enough calories, I also have bad circulation lol. I will just have to work on my diet, what do you usually eat on a typical day?

Now I eat ~3000 cals/day (I'm 5'4" and 110 lbs). I exercise about 45 mins/day every other day or two days.

breakfast and lunch: Blueberry banana smoothie, or just bananas smoothie, or baby spinach bananas smoothie (each meal is usually 1.5L smoothie, never less than 1L, no water added).

Dinner: 1lb of greens (really trying to stick to this one!), 3 mangoes, 3 tomatoes. And various other veggies around. It really depends, dinner is variable.

I get most of my calories in breakfast and lunch :).

Get your calories up, ditch the melons/citrus for a little bit.

Or just move somewhere more tropical/warmer.

I had a lot of problems regarding this, and noticed everything went away after that advice.

At a point I was even SCARED to jump in my swimming pool to workout since it was looking sheer cold.


 

the thought of moving down south is sooo tempting lol i live in washington, short summers : /

I live in WA right now too. Don't forget the other advice I gave you.

Taking about two years now on this lifestyle and finally moving to northern cali.

I live in Canada and have always shivered my way through winters.  Winters on lfrv are toasty warm.  You just have to make sure you're eating enough.  Very simple.
