Hi all,
My fiance and I are searching for places to take a vacation & also a place for our honeymoon. I would like to go somewhere exotic and full of nature, and of course with tons of FRUIT. I want to try new and exciting fruit that you can't get in the states. Hawaii is one of our options (I dream of eating truly ripe pineapple which is impossible to get here). Do you guys have any other suggestions for a tropical fruity gettaway?

If your from the US then you will be DISAPPOINTED if you come to Australia with the hopes of abundant quality fruit.
Thailand has the best pineapples on earth. Siracha is the variety. FIrst time I had it I swore it was canned pineapple in sugar and took it back asking for fresh pineapple. I mean I would eat tinned pineapple now in a pinch but I was looking for fresh at that time.

When is the best time to visit Thailand? Can you get a lot of fruit year-round?
Permalink Reply by Jack on March 3, 2012 at 6:55pm Well, I'd sell my soul for Thai nam dok mai mangoes... Durian season is approaching in Thailand... And it's pretty sweet here on the islands (Ko Samui/Phan Ngan/Tao) if you fancy the sea, lots of nice spots, both quiet and less so. I live right next to a pretty incredibly nice resort on the beach, it's a treat walking through it to and from the beach at night with the beautiful houses, pools, plants and romantic, sublime lights.
I walk past this every day, the beach just below is just perfect & mostly quiet (no partying). It looks better IRL than in the pics, especially at night.
