I don't believe there's such a thing as being overly-opinionated. I'm a big ol' fan of proselytising. My best comeback is science.

I agree in theory.

However I don't agree when someone spends day after day trying to convince my my diet is harmful to me, or my children. Some arguments never end. Regardless of science. Just think about religion...

Unwanted, repeated opinions I consider to be overly opinionated and bordering on harassment.

So it's irrationality you dislike..more than fair, ha.

The only problem with science is they tend to believe the science they have seen versus your science. Look at all the Paleo babble.

Lol.. i can't decide whether i like this second guy's response or Nik Nevmlis' =)

Just wondering how these conversations end up ^^;

usually I try to avoid arguments now and don't really bring up my diet cus it always ends in arguments but if that does happen and they are just too stubborn to open their eyes a little I usually say "The most brilliant minds in the world though that the Earth was flat for thousands of years, don't you think there's a slight chance I'm right?" Nobody can answer that question with "No" while still sounding intelligent.

I don't bri

I typed an insanely long response - and it only posted "I don't bri" lol  I'm too tired to do it again.

lol i was confused by that

Second attempt:

I don't bring it up, people just notice - and start making comments.  I actually don't mind hearing people talk, I was just more curious if anyone had anything clever to say to disarm them and prevent an unnecessary future conversation that you've inevitably had 15 times.

It's a lot like religion.  People almost feel an obligation to "fix" you, because you're obviously killing yourself with this radical diet that excludes meat and dairy. lol It's funny, obviously - but they don't get it.

Well, whenever someone dishes out 'hurp durp are you enjoying your rabbit food?' I ask them what the heart attack rate is among rabbits. This is my staple 'comeback'.

Nice, I like "rabbit food is fine, hows the vulture food?"

Best

Dan
