Bananas infested with worms

That's from the fruit fly and if you're ripening outdoors, that might be why.

yep they're maggots from fruit flies. you can pretty much guarantee if one is infested the rest will be too. they are attracted to ripe fruit.

Ripen them in sealed plastic boxes or in a room where flies cant get in. Easy.

sealed containers / brown paper bags :)

Thank you so much for your replies! I'll be sure to ripen them in sealed containers then. Hope I haven't wasted too many of the organic bananas =(
