30 Bananas a Day!

Articles like this make it hard to persuade the general public that raw vegan living is healthy!

Hey All,

I've been a member on here for a while now, but as I'm sure some of you will relate, I skulked away for a while when I found it hard to stick to the diet and felt ashamed of my unhealthy shortcomings.  Now that I am mainly 90% raw vegan, I m proud to be back and advocate I have never been this energetic, fit or happy in my entire life!

Now onto this - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1256509/Eating-fruit-make....  My darling mother, who runs a weight loss clinic, finds my diet entirely absurd when she promotes only 2 pieces of a fruit a day.  To humour her, I did a web search on "too much fruit" and came across this.  It is an article in a reputable paper about how fruit can make you fat.  LOL.

Sorry just wanted to share!  People just seem so disillusioned, including unfortunately my parents, who even though seeing practically miracle-like changes in my health and happiness, continuously say, "Ewww, how can you eat spinach with a fruit shake?  You may as well just bottle food in a pill, food is for enjoyment."  What they, and a lot of people don't understand that the most enjoyable food alive is fruit and greens once you get used to them, and realise what they can do for you.  :-)

Amazing.

welcome back.  isn't that like a rupert murdock tabloid paper? all they would care for is selling ads

I guess we all go though things we have to go in order to realize whats best for us. this is the best. too bad many people do not know it yet.

"We're meant to eat five portions of fruit and vegetables a day - ideally two of fruit and three of veg."

We're meant?! :| Five portions!? :| Two fruit and three veg?!!

Who are these evil monsters?! Do people really believe this hog wash?! please don't answer this I'm already sad enough :(

*unthink*

** for the recored, the daily mail is not a reputable paper. at all.**

its a news paper based upon nationalism, racism, fear and blame. if you want to show you mother the positive effects of a healthy diet, show her an amazon list of real books about health / nutrition / diet. stay away from the daily mail!!

regards, james :)

Glad you are back. How are you feeling?

I was warned that I will get fat on this diet, too.

I do not know why people feel so threatened: it is just fruits and vegetables !!!

We don't hurt anyone.
