Permalink Reply by Ben on March 26, 2012 at 3:31am Drinking juice fortified with B12 is the same as drinking regular juice and taking a B12 supplement. Only difference is that when a vitamin is fortified into food, they usually use the cheapest form of the vitamin.
In this case, cyanocobalamin is what is generally used. It is B12 bound to a cyanide molecule. This might not be a problem for most people, but you still will have to detoxify that cyanide. It makes more sense to take methyl or adenosyl cobalamin which is B12 bound to other compounds that are actually useful for your body.
