I love carrots and can eat 2kg easy in a meal. Is this ok or it it to much starch etc?

Permalink Reply by Dr Gosia O'Reilly on February 16, 2012 at 11:36am I have seen an amazing transformation of a girl who ate lots of carrots, so they are probably not too bad. If you currently love them, why not. Be open to change. :)

Permalink Reply by Peter on February 16, 2012 at 2:32pm That's a lot of carrots. The beta carotene is pigment that gives you the orange colour. Orange poop as well!
Here is a link to beta carotene;

I wouldn't worry too much eating that much at once unless they provide the bulk of your calories.
I like carrots too but I find that they can loose their fresh sweet taste within a week or so, even when kept in the fridge. I particularly like grated carrots usually with apple (also zucchini) which adds sweetness.
Permalink Reply by matthew on February 16, 2012 at 2:39pm I personally don't think I could chew through 2 kg of carrots. To me, taking all the time to chew through 7 or 800 calories worth of carrots isn't worth it. I know my jaw could not handle it. I would say that carrots have fewer starches than other root vegetables, and they are more easily eaten raw. I guess the big question is how do you feel after you eat that much? Do you have any digestive issues?

Permalink Reply by DURIANRIDER on February 17, 2012 at 3:57pm Easier to get the sugar cals if you juice em. I prefer to drink 2kg than eat it.
Do whatever you enjoy the most and lets you bomb in the sugar so you can charge life hard.
