I was eating high-fat, mainly-raw for 3 years before becoming lfrv over a year ago.
I've been vegetarian since my 1st year of high school, and I'm 24 now.
Permalink Reply by Teri L on June 18, 2011 at 3:29am Oh and I've been 100% low fat raw vegan for over a year now, so I'm not just vegetarian any more lol :)

Eat sugary fruit, feel great most the time, get a flat tummy and nice gorgeous boobs? lol. I think this is the best ad for this diet ever. lolol

Permalink Reply by Rawfruitygoddess on June 18, 2011 at 11:37am Lost weight! And losing weight as i type ;) My raw path is colorful to say the least.I have never restricted my calories and i think this has everything to do with not gaining weight. In all i have eaten raw for 7 years, starting my journey in 2003.I didn't start with HCRV,i ate high fat, with some fruit and greens, didn't know anything about this HCRV.In all i have eaten HCRv 3 times for 12 months each time, and every time i wasn't eating enough, not deliberately, but i ate all day long, never resting my digestion,i overtrained and i underslept. In 2007 i went to Thailand,i washed my greens in the ocean shallows, and i got very ill.The lady where i was staying warned me about the ocean being very toxic,as the fisherman stop their boats not far out ,and gut their fish and it washes up.OMg!
I suffered for over 12 months, thinking i would get better,i had a parasite and didn't know it.I had doctors tests and went to a naturopath, which lead me to eating less fruit and more fat again.Long story short,in Winter 2010,i decided i would be healthier eating cooked food and not vegan.Well in a few short months,i gained 33 pounds, and my previous ill health looked like nothing, compared to the ill health i suffered eating cooked food.
The reality for me,is that HCRv is the only way of living to keep me well.In some ways i feel like i am starting from ground zero again, however my body remembers and i am gaining vibrant health again, and losing weight,i have no idea how much as i don't own scales, however my clothes are getting much looser and my cellulite is diminishing, thank goodness.
A typical day of eating is around 4600calories.I avoid overt fats as much as possible,as they tend to irritate my healing colitis.
Permalink Reply by Rawfruitygoddess on June 18, 2011 at 12:00pm I see alot of people who have gained on this lifestyle, have come from a background of restricting calories,i mean severely restricting. Then once all the gorgeous nutrients vitamins and minerals start flooding in,eating yummy fruits and greens,of course the body will gain some weight,it's trying to make up for lost time and neglect.
I eat 3 times a day now,i have learned to constantly eat does me no good.I eat 3 good calories meals a day.
For example breakfast ws a 35 large date datorade, that's 2100 calories, initially it takes time and patience to find the original flexibility of the stomach, but with loving patience it can be done.If i eat less food per meal,i am thinking of my next meal in 2 hours, and i am off that now, that's something i learned previously, and it isn't an ideal way to treat my body.I have masses of long steady energy this way.
I can run my two big labradors in the morning at 530 on an empty stomach,bc my glycogen tank is still full,i get up and have at least 1 litre of water, then i'm off with them. This morning we are sailing along, running, and i look down at my dogs and they are both in full canter and i'm keeping up with little effort, almost like i was gliding along,it was a beautiful moment,to realise as i listen with love,to my body,it rewards me.
