30 Bananas a Day!

Am I the only one here who watches cooking shows?

I have developed an odd pastime of watching some cooking shows over the last few weeks. I've never been into cooking or cooking shows before. I want nothing to do with actual cooking, except for watching some tv shows of other people being creative in the kitchen. I have a feeling it's an odd attachment to my ways of old, though I never ate that much gourmet food in my past, or maybe it's a way I am trying to connect through my
imagination with the food that I wish was healthy?

But like I said, have no plans of doing any cooking.. I don't even like to prepare raw food in the kitchen. The less frills for me the better.. That was part of the appeal that 811rv had to me in the beginning (simplicity)...

Lately I have been watching Masterchef (New Zealand and Australia)....

Am I alone in this?

There ya go! I usually watch shows at night after dinner, but it hasn't driven me back to the kitchen yet.. :-)
i love top chef!!!

I prefer to listen to the radio than watch tv. however, I have seen tv burp tonight - harry hill, and was automatically addicted to watching tv - so I will probably have withdrawal symptoms shortly for a short time...

I am so glad you brought this up. I have been trying to figure out my weird recent addiction to food porn, and have some theories about why this might be happening. The shows I enjoy most are the worst ones too! Man vs. Food in particular. I am weirdly fascinated by the whole thing... The overeating, the nasty amounts of fat and salt, animal products. It's like watching a train wreck. This transition is doing weird things to my head... seriously.
Chopped is the best show ever. I watched it every week with my roomie last year.

completely agree. so addicting!

they always think up the most creative dishes out of the nastiest/most random ingredients ever haha

as long as you're carbed up and not tempted by the foods on tv shows go for it
hahah definitely. but some of the ingredients are so unappealing that i just end up watching just to see what kind of edible dish they can make out of such nonsense food haha
Hahaha, I so now what you mean, not only do I like to watch cooking shows when TVs are around (we don't actually have one), I love looking at food and reading cookbooks. Food porn... it's totally normal.
alton brown, but because he's awesome and because he's from my home town.  he goes to church right like a block down from my house.

it's so unhealthy to have such a ridiculous obsession/relationship with food. i look forward to the day when i no longer want to blog about it, read about it, listen to it, watch it, or focus any more attention towards it other than enjoying the experience of eating in the present moment.

i'm so guilty of watching man vs food and other food monstrosities. thankfully i have no access to a TV yet again so i'm able to curb this sick habit.

awe teedo,

Why are you being so harsh? Leave the harshness to the people that deserve it! like myself for instance...

YES I DO!

food is something that has top priority for the industry, SAD is the prerequitie to hopstail stays and medication...   811 is the antidote!

i have to admit that beign free of food obsessino is the greatest things I have done ! I have been free of before in usa and I was just eating fruit and not thinking about it much..
