30 Bananas a Day!

Hi everybody,

I've been transitioning LFRV for about 5-6 weeks now, with a couple of slip ups, and I've finally managed to stop drinking coffee, approximately 5 days ago. I was drinking upwards of 10 strong cups a day. However, for the past 3 days I've been waking up with the most horrible salty, metallic taste in my mouth, furry tongue, I've had a splitting headache for 3 days, my old joint pains have flared up and I've got a sore throat coming on. On top of this no amount of sleep has been enough for my the past two nights. I don't feel as ill as I did SAD, but its pretty damn annoying nevertheless.

So yes, I think this is detox from the coffee, but obviously I;m not sure. Can anyone give me a wee heads up, and what can I do in the meantime to make it go away or subside slightly?

Thanks!

Try a coffee enema (nothing to do with the fact that you used to drink it, and a totally different thing), and then maybe a regular enema once a week or so for about a month...sounds crazy, gross, or both.. but after eating SAD for so long cheating can be beneficial...and you'd be surprised what help to your body this release of waste that is stuck in the bowels will do for you.  Carrot lemon ginger apple celery (get creative) juice once a day, even week you may find beneficial.  It takes time, a lot of time, the longer you stick with the road to health the more you will enjoy it.   google the things I said for more info... good luck, i hope you feel better... <3
I know this "salty, metallic taste" in the mouth, I had this a few times in the past on a normal ol-vegetarian diet; I remedied it by supplementing with zinc and the essential fatty acids epa/dha. So, from my experience it's a symptom of deficiency.
