30 Bananas a Day!

My boyfriend has a cracked tooth and most likely an infection where the tooth meets gums/nerves. His dentist said he "may" have to get  a root canal, but his dentist drives crisp white Mecedes Benz and I don't trust him for a minute.

He's had multiple issues with his teeth and has always gone to this dentist. Iread that he can do a tooth extraction or bridge. Is it possible for him if he is already in pain?

Is there another alternative for him?? Is there any possible way to find credible natural dentists in Trinidad & Tabago?

Thank you for all of your help and insite. :)

So he drives a crisp white Mercedes Benz and you do not trust him? Do you not trust him because he has a luxury car? Is that really a good reason not to trust someone?

+1

I don't trust him because nick has gone to him for his whole life and continues to have re-occurring problems with the same issues he had originally had work on. I don't trust him because he is a part of the western medical community that looks to cure the symptom, not the cause.

p.s. I think it's a good way to see where someone's priorities lay.

p.s.s. I asked for advise on natural and homeopathic remedy, does that not include one of your own interests? I didn't ask for a question of my personal faith in the practices of  and priorities of the allopathic medical community.

Well I am not sure about his infection, I myself have filings that have fallen out and have not replaced them in more than a year I think, and I don't really have any pain in my teeth or anything like that. I don't know how to check for infection because I just do not go to the dentist. As for the Trinidad and Tobago thing, I am not sure. But just leaving the tooth alone is definitely an option. The dentist has been taught a certain way to do things, that doesn't mean he wants to cheat you of your money. He might really think he is doing what is best for the patient, like Harley says he might be "Sincere but sincerely wrong". Doesn't mean he is a dishonest man.

I never said he is a "dishonest" man I said I don't trust him. I don't trust his opinion because he is saying that nick needs a root canal when I know there are other possible options. I also did not say he is "dishonest" because he drives a fancy, expensive, gas-guzzling, pollution-causing car. I do think that is shows what he values, and that's $$$. If someone values $$$ and status (like someone who would spend a ton of money on something that is unnecessary and harmful to the planet), then it does not PROVE that they are dishonest, but it is a definite possibility that they do not have a vested interest in our planet and therefor other people and their health and therefor the vested interest in nick's health. I never thought he was "cheating" us. Just spouting the wrong kind of information, which people usually believe because he has a license to practice dentistry, which apparently is more important than common sense nowadays...

Given all of that, I really do appreciate your input about the whole tooth thing and what you went through. The tooth is cracked so he can't leave it i'm pretty sure because it will conitnue to get infected. Perhaps he can seal it somehow.... I also heard he can have it extracted and that way there are no infections sealed into the gum area by a bridge or tooth.

Thanks for the help

I know there is one in miami.... Here's a website where you can find a holistic dentist:

http://www.holisticdental.org/find_holistic_dentist

I had some toothache before Christmas and which drove me to try an ayurvedic remedy that I've known about for years and had tried, but hadn't really fully engaged with yet, oil-pulling.  I'd read once that the ancient Essenes regarded the use of oil in food as an abomination, there's also all the talk about giving up overt fats and so on on boards like this and I was put off using something that involved oil and a small amount of which would be ingested.

The pain did nevertheless drive me to try it again and for a reasonably substantial amount of time. It didn't take very long before there was a sense of something being tugged out of the affected tooth.  I continued with the therapy and the pain diminished and has now gone and not come back.  Something I noticed yesterday is that I seem to be able to eat dates more comfortable than before. After a while, I not only had the sense of something being pulled from the tooth, but also from the jaw below and which is part of what makes me me think that this therapy might also help your boyfriend, Mary.

I got a bad staph infection in one of my toes when I was in Australia last year and think it's also helped with that,  There's again been the sense of something being drawn out of the toe, which although the skin has healed, is still quite swollen.  There's also been the sense sometimes of something being drawn out of the whole foot.

There was also a period when I had a sense of something being drawn out from around my eyes.  I suspect that this was candida and my eyesight did subsequently seem to improve.  I found myself able to read a particular book under a certain light at night and which I'd found it difficult to do before.

Great claims are made for this therapy and I've been persuaded that it does indeed have a lot of potential and even if I don't particularly enjoy the slightly oily feeling that I've sometimes been left with after doing it for long periods of time.

Oil-pulling is a silly practice and can't heal anything.

Your body does the healing if you give it the right conditions.

Good health is achieved by living a healthy lifestyle consistently.

Do you you think I made up what I said or something?  Your brutish post offers nothing and seems designed only to intimidate. Here is someone else's experience of oil-pulling:

"I am an 86 year, aged retired public servant. I developed tooth ache. The toothache was really agonizing. I thought, I may try, being a skeptic, oil pulling before visiting the dentist. Hardly did I try it for a couple of days then the intensity of ache came down. In another two days the pain stopped totally. This pain was centered on an incisor the base of which was affected and tooth itself was shaking. Having got some relief I developed faith in its efficacy and continued the treatment for a fortnight. The affected tooth miraculously firmed up and now I am able to bite fruits and other not so hard items of food. This is a radical change....I feel thankful for this therapy.

Oil-pulling is not supported on this site, so please stop pushing it.
