Hello, moonchildren! I have made a pact with myself to take on and complete Freelee's challenge...lock, stock, and banana!! :D
Anyone who is interested is more than welcome to join in. One straight year of endulging in fresh fruits and veggies, VERY little overt fats, tons of water, tons of sleep, tons of sunshine, plenty of exercise, and lots of quality family time. :D
Much Love,
MaryKate

do you have a specific plan for each of those element's of the daily challenge that you are hoping to take on? Have you been eating raw / vegan / veggie / SAD diet up to now?

Permalink Reply by MKWildCherry on June 14, 2012 at 9:30am Hello, Katie-Lou. Well, let's see....I will not be counting calories because I truly feel that Durian Rider and Freelee are correct in claiming that you can eat as many fruits and veggies as you please without gaining fat. I have a good amount of weight to lose but understand that will come in time as my body heals, regenerates, and sheds excess matter. As long as I am consuming ENOUGH calories I will worry no further with it. :) I aim to "cure" dermatitis, overweight, fatigue, and low blood sugar.
In bed going to sleep each night by 9 o'clock, up when my 4 year-old bounces awake. Tons of fruit throughout the day and a continent sized salad in the evening with a small amount of fruit. At least 3 liters of water every day, as much sunshine as our Washington sky will allow for, running....I ran mucho amounts when I was in the Navy but have been lazy for some time now, so I am starting from scratch again. Runner's World has an awesome beginning running plan and I will be following their guidance. Family time....hiking, playing soccer, spending time in the yard together planting flowers, and just getting out into nature more overall. :D:D
Tomorrow is Day 1......SO EXCITED! EEEEEEE

Permalink Reply by MKWildCherry on June 14, 2012 at 12:03pm OH, and I have been inching towards 100 % for quite some time now. I have slowly added raw fruits and veggies with some cooked vegan foods. It is time to take the plunge....once and for all. :D
Permalink Reply by Greenmama on June 16, 2012 at 5:18am So excited for you all!
For me when I started Freelee's challenge, I felt too weak and afraid of failure to commit to 100% raw. So I made my commitment smaller--no animal products and no processed junk foods. I had already established the habit of eating my first two meals as fruit and staying within the 80-10-10 ratios, so I continued those habits, but ate cooked food in the evening if I felt like it. I have stuck to that, and now I have worked my way up after 100 days to 4 raw days in a row. Now it feels easier to stick to raw without the pressure of having to do it 100%.
I'm not suggesting that you have to do it the same way, but just remember that it doesn't help to set your expectations for yourself so high that you plunge to depths of despair if you don't get it 100% right away.
Best wishes and RAWK ON!

I had to wrap up some loose ends and synch the body building plans with my wonderful hubs. Greenmama, you are absolutely right...one step at a time. Unfortunately, with my addictive personality, it's do or die! lol The structure keeps me in line and accountable to myself. I'm a child at heart and need that extra nudge. :D:D
How is the challenge going for everyone else?
Much Love,
MK
